Gosport hotel

My father in law stayed here while visiting family and he couldn't speak more highly of the team. Friendly warm and pleasant, always on hand to help, we joined him for breakfast on the last day and considering how busy and small the breakfast room was the team were superb wide selection and very hot chef done a great job

My 9 year old twins and I had a lovely stay at Premier Inn Gosport. The staff were friendly and helpful. I have a gluten allergy and the staff at breakfast were brilliant. The communial areas smelt a little smokey but as soon as we were in the room the beds were lovely and comfy and great to have a bath!

The outside of the building looks tired and could do with a paint as there are black marks which doesn’t make it very appealing. Room was extremely tired, carpet seemed clean on first glance but upon closer inspection it could have done with a better clean . Parts of the carpet were tread bare, bathroom looked tired, there looked to be water damage around the bottom of the bath. Bathroom floor not very clean. But shower was powerful. Toilet seat kept moving so need to be tightened. Extractor fan was useless so bathroom became very warm and steam didn’t clear. Hallway carpet was filthy, smell of must and smoke in hallways. We stayed three nights and similar to other guests, each day we went to breakfast at various different times but at least 30-45 mins before end of breakfast, each day the drinks and cold food needed replenishing. It seemed one person was seating people to tables, replenishing cold food/drinks and cleaning tables, there was clearly a need for extra staff. Reception staff were friendly and helpful, I asked the reception team if they had a cab number and they booked cab for us. Plenty of variety for breakfast and hot food was actually hot, it was cooked in small quantities which meant it wasn’t sitting around for long, constant supply of food being replenished by the chef. It’s a shame there wasn’t more staff assisting in the restaurant area.

We’ve stayed in Premier Inns before in the UK. We chose this Hotel as it was close to our relatives we were visiting. I’d give the Premier Inn Gosport a 5/10. We stayed 3 nights. The first impression as I walked in my room is it’s dark and dated, I can deal with that. The room smelt of cigarette smoke. I left the bathroom light with fan on but it didn’t help. It was in the walls I think. The kettle was revolting with mineral (chalky almost) substance oozing out of the join at the base of the kettle. It tainted the water. Would I stay again, probably not. Breakfast set up was good.

Obviously one of the older hotels in the group, but staff very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was ideal, yes a small breakfast room but perfectly suitable
