"An older one , but a good one"
Obviously one of the older hotels in the group, but staff very friendly, helpful and accommodating.
Room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was ideal, yes a small breakfast room but perfectly suitable

"Dirty bathroom, 70% of buffet absent"
The two male staff members we encountered at the desk were polite and friendly, as was the red-haired lady who seated us for breakfast.
However, upon first arrival the lift stank of cigarette smoke and when entering our room and using the bathroom, it was clear it had been very poorly cleaned. The toilet seat was stained and was filthy, and there were many short, thick, curly black hairs in and around the bath and all over the bathroom floor.
When we arrived for the buffet breakfast at 10:05am (April 26th), despite breakfast being available until 11, there wasn’t enough cutlery on most of the tables. They weren’t busy, and we had to walk around checking cutlery pots on other tables to get everything we needed. Why clean a table and not restock the cutlery? Two forks on a four-seater is clearly not sufficient, essentially every other table was just as badly stocked. The buffet breakfast itself had only around 30% (or less) of what should have been there. The juice dispensers were all empty/almost empty, I asked the chef if there would be more food as there was only one piece of bacon, a few hash browns, a small amount of beans and hardly any scrambled eggs. He said there would be more bacon.
After noticing the manager speaking with the chef, I wondered if there’d be more urgency around restocking if I went back up after finishing what little breakfast I’d had and enquired again about the lack of food as there were no scrambled eggs or beans at this point and we wanted more food before our long journey. I was told there would be more coming by the chef, not a word from the manager.
Ten minutes or so later, after more guests had entered the restaurant and were trying and failing to get the juices that they wanted as the dispensers were empty and four staff members - including the manager - had failed to restock and were standing around chatting/ casually cleaning tables/ sipping cuppas instead. At this point I asked the manager if it was the chefs job alone to restock the entire buffet, she told me there are only two staff members on so things will get done when they get done, and “it is what it is” whilst walking away from me. My partner commented on her horrendous attitude and she ignored him.
People then started restocking the buffet, which could have and should have been done before it got to the state it had. I’ve never known a staff member in general, let alone a manager speak to a customer with such an attitude. It would have sufficed to explain they were understaffed if this was truly the case, along with a simple apology - the bare minimum.
We’ve stayed in many Premier Inn hotels between us, neither me nor my partner have ever experienced anything like this. Horrific customer service from that manager, terrible standards in the hotel in general.

"Nice hotel for a weekend away"
Cosy hotel, reasonably priced, in a good location in Gosport. The breakfast was absolutely delicious on both mornings we ate at the hotel. It was a credit to the staff. The outside needs a clean but apart from that the room was clean and comfortable and the car parking is plentiful. We would happily return.

"Staff are wonderful!"
We stayed for two nights. The room was perfectly fine and they even let us check in earlier than we expected as it was ready early. On the second night, I accidentally caused a puddle in the bathroom and soaked my only pair of jeans. One of the staff members (Cam) very kindly put my jeans in their dryer and another (Luke) returned them directly to my room when they were done - effectively saving the day!!!
