Basingstoke West (Churchill Way) hotel

Broken ned,no towels,not enoght cups and a room that was heating up to over 33 c, and flickering lights We have used Premier inn loads of times and never had a problem we have always had a really great faultless experience,Not this time.My husband sat on the bed only to find it broken,the lights would not stay on and would go on then go off,the lights in the bathroom would not stay on,the only light we could get to stay on was the mirror,but flickered constantly,the room oh my word was heating up constantly going over 33c ,at midnight we had to be moved to another room,my husband had been at work since 2.00am that day.I know it's hot but no room should ever reach 33c at night when it's cooler outside,there heating needs looking at as does the electrics in room 44. It's 412 am and I'm writing this having had less than 4 hours sleep,.The staffs attitude was 'i can't do anything about it's Avoid at all costs.

Myself and my wife stayed at this hotel. Me and my wife had a few issues between ourselves involving no one else. I explained to the hotel staff it was in hand and please leave it with me. They did not after we left. I will be raising a complaint avoid avoid avoid.

Travelling solo for the first time I was a little apprehensive but everyone at Churchill Way’s Premier Inn was lovely, chatty and helpful. The atmosphere was chilled and welcoming, my room was spacious and comfy, with little noise disturbance considering it’s location next to many nearby sporty and family type of attractions. The food and the service in the Beefeater nextdoor, where meals are served if you choose to have them, was fresh and tasty and served quickly. On top of this the car park, despite having lots of signs to the contrary, was completely free .. ideal! Would definitely return here

This location was convenient for what we wanted. The hotel was tidy and clean but very dated. The bathroom was v small and was one of the older generations of build, it was very worn and tired. The bed as always was very comfortable but stuff was missing from the room and I had to ask at reception for them, cups missing, soap dispenser not working in bath/shower, light in pelmet above sink not working. As for the Beefeater, this again was "convenient" and food was just ok. The whole building is very very tired and dated and was very grubby to say the least, could do with a full makeover without doubt.

The premier inn staff is terrible. Despite reminding them of room cleaning everyday, they only did it once and we stayed here for 5 nights. Bins in our room are overflowing, dirty towels are stinking because they have not been cleared for last 3 days. Horrible service.
