Basingstoke West (Churchill Way) hotel

We were going to watch UB40 this hotel was literally 3 to 5 minute walk away we got there early, 2 oclock check in was 3 so we decided to have a drink and a ham and cheese toasty as we ate we were looking at there £26 per person deal of a two course dinner with drink and a breakfast good deal but after eating the toasty we decided we would go to the concert then have one of the hotels pizza,s as they said they were going from 10pm unyil 4 am, brilliant we got to the do at 6 and back to the hotel for 11.15 ish i stood in the queue for drinks as i paid in cash i said to the girl where do we order the pizza she said here as she gave me my change so i said can i order one then i couldnt believe it when she said yes, but you have to go to the end of the queue now so i went to the back of the eight long queue that i was first in a second ago when i got back to first i said can i order a pizza please and was told we just sold the last two sorry we have no more but you can have some snacks i.e crisps or chocolate bars i said can i have two packs of the ready salted crisps please he said sorry we only have one pack will you have cheese and onion as well...So thanks to premuir inn not keeping to what they have written down in front of you a packet of crisps was our tea..How can you have a gig tunning less than 5 minute walk away knowing your going to have extra guests signing in then running out of what you advertise by 11 o clock 5 hours shorter than you were promoting and also only have 1 packet of walkers ready salted as well...But i was in the front of the queue but because she had given me my change told me i had to go to the back.. Anyway we also both had a shower before going to the gig, now surely most rooms are booked as couples but you only get one bath towel and one hand towel, well we did anyway so that wadnt very good. The staff ARE FANTASTIC except the 1 that told me to go to the back of the queue after just serving me they are all so friendly and polite and made us feel very comfortable and welcome all due credit to them.

Another good stay whilst visiting family. It was a pleasure to see Charrissa again on reception who makes us feel so welcome. She really does go above and beyond to ensure we have a great stay. She makes a fuss of the children which they absolutely love and we really appreciate the effort she makes with them especially as some hotels seem to dislike children these days! Free parking too. We all had a good sleep and we’ll be back again!

We had a great three days poking about an area we had never been to before. The hotel was operating under the heat wave which made life quite hard for them as there is no aircon and it must have raised issues, but we just got on with it and enjoyed our stay. The breakfast and dinner were good and served with a smile and good humour.

Very clean rooms with everything you need for an overnight stay. Helpful friendly staff. Comfortable bed, good facilities nearby. Free parking!!
