Basingstoke Town Centre hotel

As the Southampton one’s were either sold out or double the price we decided to book 4 rooms in Basingstoke ahead of our weeks cruise out of Southampton. It has it’s own small car park, but council run one is conveniently next door to hotel, so no issues parking. On checking in we were met by the very enthusiastic, knowledgeable and helpful Bobby. Others have mentioned this guy and I agree. He is a credit to the Premier inn chain and needs an employee of the month award. Keep up the good work Bobby. Room was nice and clean and comfortable, as always for Premier Inn. City centre is within close proximity, so we wandered into town for evening meal, as so close. Breakfast next day was great start with plenty of choice. Would happily book again if cruising from Southampton.

I stay in this hotel for work once a quarter. The hotel itself it’s pretty much what you would expect from a Premier Inn. It works, but you get what you pay for. I do have to commend Bobby who works here. He makes my stay every time I visit. He is a true professional and runs around making sure everyone is ok. He is an absolute credit to the hotel and i look forward to seeing him when I stay. Everyone needs to be more Bobby!

We went there for the second time and it was all excellent again

The premier inn brand gives a reassuring consistency which is ideal for short business stays. The location here is ideal for the town centre, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are keen to please. I started to use the self check in machines, but was quickly rescued by a member of staff when I didn’t have my booking reference to hand. From what I could work from another traveller, they are a bit of a faff. I ate in the restaurant, and was served by the very attentive Bobby who gets plenty of positive comments here on TA. The ambience in the restaurant is quite quiet, almost subdued, but most of the diners are single business people just wanting a meal and that purpose is well served by the team here.

The star of the show here was Bobby! Bobby is an absolute credit of a young man to Premier Inn and his family. His customer service skills were second to none. He was friendly, attentive, polite, engaging with our children and all round super star. I never leave reviews. But had to to ensure Bobby is recognised well. Thank you Bobby.
