"Reassuring, comfortable stay"
The premier inn brand gives a reassuring consistency which is ideal for short business stays. The location here is ideal for the town centre, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are keen to please.
I started to use the self check in machines, but was quickly rescued by a member of staff when I didn’t have my booking reference to hand. From what I could work from another traveller, they are a bit of a faff.
I ate in the restaurant, and was served by the very attentive Bobby who gets plenty of positive comments here on TA. The ambience in the restaurant is quite quiet, almost subdued, but most of the diners are single business people just wanting a meal and that purpose is well served by the team here.

"Bobby is the star of this hotel"
The star of the show here was Bobby! Bobby is an absolute credit of a young man to Premier Inn and his family. His customer service skills were second to none. He was friendly, attentive, polite, engaging with our children and all round super star. I never leave reviews. But had to to ensure Bobby is recognised well. Thank you Bobby.

Nice hotel in the centre of Basingstoke. Clean room and good breakfast.
Staff were very helpful and friendly. Checked in late no issue.

"Please give us windows that open 🙏"
Rooms are so hot and stuffy as windows don't open. Air con doesn't work properly through the night, only the day, but it's too noisy anyway to sleep with it on. Can hear people walking around in room above at all hours. Pillows flat and hard. Breakfast was decent - nice lady made me fresh fried eggs everyday as ones under the heat lamp always look terrible. Cleaning staff were friendly. Bathroom fan ridiculously loud. It's council car parking so have to pay. Rate was reasonable for a town centre and bed comfy enough apart from pillows.

"Convenient short stay with great members of staff"
I stayed here for 4 nights on business. I have never met a more helpful and kind member of staff as Bobby. He really went out of his way to interact with all customers and I feel he deserves some special recognition for this. Keep up the good spirit Bobby - the world needs more people like you!
