Aldershot hotel

The block we stayed in was in a very poor state, worn carpets, large marks on pillows, automatic door to block was broken and the door would stay open if not manually closed so allowing rodents potentially to enter but more importantly compromised our feeling of security to this block, the bathroom extractor sounded like a jet engine, at night there was a high pitch sound which kept us awake all night, breakfast was difficult as everything had run out and had to wait for food and drinks, very poor, rats running around the grounds outside, one room in our party had to be moved as the bathroom floor was flooded and the toilet did not flush. My son-in-law summed it up in one comment outside the block when he said it all looks very sad. I have stayed in dozens of Premier Inns over the years and this was the worst one by far although the staff were very nice. We could not wait to leave this hotel and can only hope that this block will be refurbished soon as it was in a very poor state. I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone in its current state.

I don’t normally leave reviews, but felt this stay needed mentioning. As expected with Premier Inn, the bed was very comfortable and lived up to their usual standard. However, unfortunately the rest of the experience did not match this. We were in Room 20, and the corridor door right beside the room does not have a soft-close mechanism. It was repeatedly banging throughout the night as guests passed through, which made it very difficult to get a proper night’s sleep. The bathroom also needs attention. The shower had no curtain, which resulted in the entire bathroom floor flooding each time it was used. In addition, the water temperature was very inconsistent, constantly fluctuating between hot and cold. There were also some concerns regarding cleanliness and general upkeep. There appeared to be a sock placed over the smoke detector, which suggests previous guests may have been vaping in the room. On arrival, the entrance hall had a strong unpleasant smell, and one of the corridors had a noticeable smell of cannabis. Overall, while the bed was comfortable, the issues with noise, maintenance, and cleanliness significantly affected the stay. Hopefully these are addressed for future guests. This was what I would expect from a £40 travel lodge.

Everything you want from a premier inn and more! Really clean spacious rooms with a lovely breakfast

I’ve stayed at Premier Inn Aldershot multiple times for work now, and it’s consistently a great experience. The rooms are always clean, comfortable, and quiet—exactly what you need after a long day on the road. One thing that really stood out on my most recent stay was the food. I’ve had Premier Inn pizzas at other locations before and, if I’m honest, they’ve been a bit hit and miss—so I wasn’t expecting much. But this one completely surprised me. It was genuinely really tasty, well cooked, and full of flavour, so a big compliment to the chef, Gina, for getting it spot on. The service is also worth mentioning. Maria on the bar/waitressing team was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and made me feel really welcome. Her colleague Simona was just as lovely and hospitable, and together they created a really relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. All in all, a reliable and comfortable place to stay with great staff and surprisingly good food. I’ll definitely be back again for future work trips.
