"Service pathetic"
Never had worse service in my life. Ordered mixed grill. Paid for extra steak with part of meal. Never arrived. Still waiting now. When asked, after 20 minutes, was greeted with a grumpy response. Never again

"Decent budget hotel with some issues."
Decent budget hotel in a good location. The room and bathroom were clean. The hotel and bedroom were very hot with no air conditioning or fan. We ordered and paid for cooked breakfast which was not available as there was no chef. No refund offered and the continental breakfast was very limited.

"Highly recommend lovely staff and very clean."
We used Stockport Premier Inn for a nights stay to visit P Louse World.
The staff were excellent everyone was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean modern and comfortable, with everything you needed. No air conditioning but there was a floor standing fan. We arrived by train and thought we could walk there, but with luggage it was a little further than we thought, but managed to get an Uber there. Breakfast was very nice, lots of choice , we had cooked which they take an order for, but we did not wait for long. Very pleasant stay highly recommend and great value for money.

"It does what it says on the tin"
No AC in the room
Shower head had seen better days
But room was clean .
Broken windows in the closed restaurant and the actual location of this PI is awful .

"Below Premier Inn’s expected standard."
The hotel is in dire need of modernisation. Part of it is a previous Beefeater Pub which is now mostly unused apart from upstairs as a restaurant and small bar area.
Main entrance is more akin to a delivery access.
To get from the rooms to restaurant you walk through a redundant part of the pub and up ( very grubby) carpeted stairs . You are greeted with a bar wide enough for 3 people to stand side by side at a push. If you wish to drink outside you have to take your drink back down the stairs and on a lengthy walk back through the redundant part of the pub , round the car park to the original seating area where the furniture is in a very tired state. There are a set of access doors which could be opened to make life a lot easier to get outside but I was told unfortunately this is not possible.
The rooms are clean and functional, no air conditioning though at all.
The food was to a good standard and the staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. Gemma was a star and made up for my general dissatisfaction with the place with her prompt and friendly bar and restaurant service and friendliness.
To sum up I felt this hotel fell well short of Premier Inns normal standards and there is certainly modernisation and decorating to be done. The rates charged are way too high for a sub standard hotel.
I guess for a travelling workman who just want to arrive late and get some sleep it is sufficient, however if you wish to wander down from your room and enjoy a few pre meal drinks in an outdoor and comfortable clean setting you will be severely disappointed.
Way below Premier Inn’s normal standards .
