Stockport South hotel

Location fine, took 15 mins for someone to come to the desk. Despite everything all over the place due to building work, my new room was nice however smelt of strong paint fumes, temperature stayed on 10 degrees regardless of my changing the temperature on the thermostat to 28 degrees. No heating at all. Couldn’t get any food due to lengthy wait at bar over an hours wait and that took me over last orders for food and all the restaurants I tried on just eat kept cancelling my orders so went without a hot meal. I was a woman travelling on my own and normally premier inn data protection will not read out my name or room number, unfortunately both were said loud and clear in front of male customers. This made me feel slightly uncomfortable and vulnerable. I was also put on the ground floor away from any exits. Again not normal premier inn policy for women travelling alone. All in all very disappointing and frustrating, came away feeling cold and hungry after what was already a long week being on the road.

The breakfast was great value and the service was excellent! Helia was extremely friendly and welcoming. The room was well furnished with a cosy atmosphere,

Excellent service mark was a love

Enjoyed third stay in Premier Inn Stockport South. All staff friendly in hotel and Thyme restaurant. Clean, tidy room. Good food, including pizza from chef Joel's first day.

Make sure you arrive before 9pm if you want to eat/drink as restaurant bar closes early and staff lock up at 10pm. Bed and room ok, however it is very run down and being refurbished. Should really be closed during this and certainly not charging full price, cost over £150 for rooom and 2 breakfast's. Always used Premier Inn when travelling, because standard is consistent, however will be considering other hotels in the future.
