"Brilliant place to stay for Plouise"
Very friendly and helpful staff. I messaged to ask if a note could be left in the room to say happy birthday to my daughter and enjoy the trip to PLouise. They went above and beyond my expectations. Thank you so much.
The hotel itself is clean and the free car parking is great. We'll definitely be staying here again when we visit PLouise in the future.

"Have been informed that restaurant and bar will be closed for the foreseeable future so limited facilities available."
Have just received an email stating that there is no longer a bar or restaurant there. I think they are making cut backs and the pub chain are moving out. So if you are planning to eat or drink there I think you'll have to go elsewhere to do so. I'm going there in a few days time and will confirm this but thought it may be worth mentioning for anyone with kids stating.

"Curate's Egg"
The room, although on the second floor, was easily accessible by a clean lift. The location is reasonably convenient for the centre of Stockport, and quiter than other Premier Inns we have known. it is under the flight path for Manchester Airport, but the double glazing worked well to deaden the sound. The initial impression was that the hotel itself was slightly shabby, whilst the adjoining (closed) restaurant was beginning to look a tip. The grounds could do with a good tidy, with weeds and bramble cut back near the pedestrian entrance. The bathroom and shower were very clean and tidy, the shower was easy to use. The beds were comfortable.
There was no decaff coffee available, even on request. The staff were friendly and helpful.

"Dreadful hotel with young reception staff, who blatently exhibit ageism."
I had booked an accessible room for my friend who is 93 and walks with a walking frame. When we arrived it was pouring down and we were informed that the hotel has only 2 accessible rooms, 1 in the main building and 1 in the annexe. The main one was already occupied, and the annexe is 200 yds across the car park. I objected but the girl behind reception was very offhand, and didn't offer a ground floor normal room, or any alternative other than to tell us to hurry up because there was a queue behind us. We had to trail in the pouring rain across the car park to the annexe which had very heavy fire doors, and my friend was unable to open them.
The next morning she was unable to exit the annexe as she could not open the fire doors. Fortunately a mature male receptionist spotted her on CCTV and rushed over to help her.
It is now over 2 weeks since our unfortunate visit, and my friend is still receiving home visits from our doctor because she cannot get out of bed, due to the heavy weight and design (like an air lock) of the fire doors.
There is no way I will use Premier Inns again, and especially not Stockport Central.

"I had a pleasant stay overall.."
I had a pleasant stay overall. Free parking for guests was a big plus, and the reception team were warm and welcoming. The manager was fabulous and clearly runs the place well. The rooms could use some updating, but they were clean and comfortable. The location is also very convenient, which made everything easier.
