Manchester Salford Quays hotel

Tatty and not a good nights sleep as woken up early hrous with someone running up and down the corridor breakfast was luke warm at best so a disapointing end to a good night at the lowry

Hotel is in a great location! Room spotlessly clean, decent size. Car park right outside the door. Machine in Reception to pay, just type car reg in & pay by card. Free Phone for taxi from Reception (0161 777 7777) Only cost us £3.70 to get taxi to the Lowry (probably 10 mins walk but I have a duff knee & it was raining.. so well worth it 😊) The Beefeater pub attached is now run by Premier Inn. Evening meals surprisingly good.. but very empty & no atmosphere as no longer allow general public in, only Premier Inn guests. It's also where you go for breakfast. It's now self service. Typical hotel buffet breakfast.

Disappointing experience. Room was cold and dirty. Were charged extra £20 for early access to room without being informed. We were offered early access which we didn’t need and thought the receptionist was being helpful to us because I had my 90 year old mother with me. Will never stay at a Premier Inn again. Felt ripped off

all good no sound on bbc one but room cool which was a bonus as warm night stuff friendly and welcoming only neg was whitbread shutting pub next door disgrace really hope they find an alternative for food etc

A premier inn is a premier inn - you know what you are getting. We’ve stayed in Salford Quays several times over the past few years, the staff are friendly and efficient. The idea of giving a donation to charity if bags are left prior to check in time is great - Great Ormond Street benefits rather than Whitbread - £15 for an early check in is extortionate. Location is great, short walk to tram stop, short walk to the Lowry and Media City. The room overlooked the Quays which was nice and was clean. The free Wi-Fi seemed to have improved as well. The coked breakfast looked to be freshly cooked to order - unusual in this day and age although I don’t think the continental breakfast is worth the money, nothing seemed to ‘run out’. My only beef was I booked in February (earlier is supposedly cheaper), the price decreased over the weeks before we stayed which niggled.
