Manchester Salford Media City hotel

Fantastic location for Coronation Street Experience and local restaurants. Check-in poorly run with a queue of people and no explanation as to why our room was not ready at 3pm. Internet completely unreliable. Room reasonably clean. Bed very comfortable.

we have stayed at this hotel so many times, but never in a premier plus room, and honestly, it was probably the worst stay to date. the bed was broken, the ultimate wi-fi for 3 devices only let us connect 1. the iron spat boiling water out which burnt my foot, there was no normal coffee sachets (asked downstairs and told none until Tuesday) and there were only 2 coffee pods, which for 1 cup of coffee, you needed probably 4 pods.. also people kept trying to connect to our tv multiple times during the night, via airplay so this kept turning our tv on! and the air con was so noisy, like someone was filling up a water tank. so not the best night or nights sleep, and my husband had the half marathon to run on the Sunday morning too! Defo wont be paying for a premier plus again.

I stopped at this hotel on the 4th October whilst attending the womens WSL football match at the Ethiad. The location is brilliant with easy access to the tram network and the car park was just next store. I can honestly say that I slept like a baby. The best night sleep I've had for some time. I would also like to thank the breakfast chef who had cooked breakfast perfectly. will definitely stay here again. Well done

Location is great for Media City and the Lowry. Also only about a 15 minute drive from RHS Bridgwater. Decent multi storey car park next door. When checking in staff helpful with the self service screens. They have a bad lag when you touch them, frustrating. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful throughout the stay.Room was fine, clean and tidy. Bathroom extractor fan did not work so got steamy. Breakfast was good, everything that was meant to be hot was hot. WiFi good.

We were in Manchester for a trip to the Coronation Street experience, which is only a 10 minute walk away, so ideally located. I did think it was a little pricey for a budget hotel, but it was still cheaper than the other chains around. I like budget chains because they are usually consistent in terms of cleanliness. You at least know it's clean and tidy. However, I did notice some issues on the room. There was a plastic bottle left in the bathroom, the toilet roll hadn't been restocked, there was a hole in the headboard and marks on the bedsheets. It felt like the room changeover was potentially rushed and things missed.
