Manchester City Centre West hotel

Convenient central location. New facilities. Parking nearby but expensive at £25/ over 4 hours use. Facilities clean.

The good - The location is okay, not too long of a walk into the city centre/shopping streets. - Didn't hear much noise, either from other guests or the construction work. We were warned/informed about the latter by the hotel, but we didn't hear anything. - Very comfortable bed and pillows! The bad - Our keys kept "disconnecting", and would stop working within the same day. We had to have our keys reset once or twice a day! Annoying, but the staff was helped. They seemed as annoyed as us, and always helped us. - We actually asked back "hi how are you" and she replied that she would rather not be there? I mean I get you sis but you can't say that to the guests. - The room itself was incredibly stuffy, with a strong smell of mold. It seems like the furniture has never been cleaned, the office chair cushion were incredibly dirty! The carpet as well, looked and smelled like it's never seen soap. - We asked for cleaning of our room after a couple of days, where I clearly specified fresh linens (as well as fresh towels), and they just re-made the bed with the dirty linens. Disappointing. Did not get the breakfast buffet or anything in the restaurant. I will not be staying here again.

Great hotel, simply a superb place for a great night's sleep and a cracking breakfast overlooking the River Irwell. I've stayed here a few times now and can recommending. It has exterios building work at the time of writing, but this did not cause any issues.

All was great except the shower which only had an overhead, immovable head. I didn't want yo get my hair wet. It was very clean and comfortable bed.

Very well looked after. We recommend the hotel. Lovely staff. Clean and comfy rooms. Great breakfast and plenty of it too.
