Oldham Central hotel

I have just returned from a 3 nights stay after taking some serious exams in Oldham. George on reception was a joy. He made me feel really welcome, which was especially important as an inexperienced solo female traveller. He was knowledgable and no task was too much trouble (despite my hundreds of questions on WiFi, taxis and leaving my bags behind reception for a while on checkout!) He is an absolute credit to your hotel and went absolutely above and beyond expectations. If there is an employee of the month award or bonus scheme he should receive it. You are very lucky to have him!

Location was okay, But this was not value for money at all. Allocation of room should be related to customer need, Premier- inn should re-consider the possibility of having late check-outs especially since this can be a fee paying service for customers, The meal options were basic for the price. Overall noy good value for money.

Ryan on reception was a credit to the hotel, polite, cheerful , and helpful its staff like this that make a difference to the experience. The rooms were lovely and clean and very comfortable would recommend staying there 👍

I had to stay overnight in Oldham for work and this was booked last minute. Lovely big car park with free parking and loads of space. The hotel reception was lovely and clean with plenty of leaflets, snack machine, books to borrow, tea/cofffee. The reception looked fabulous all decorated for Pride. The man that checked me in was very friendly and helpful. I missed his name But he had red hair. I was on the 1st floor, room was lovely and clean, very spacious and had good facilities. No USB charge point next to the beds and I always find these handy, but that’s a small thing. Small restaurant downstairs and they had a really good deal of £26 for a main, drink starter and unlimited breakfast the next day. There was nothing I fancied to eat as I’m vegan and fussy and didn’t fancy the choices, entirely my fault, I’m a pain. So I just had a drink but the lovely man that checked me in appeared with some vegan chocolate as he felt bad that there was nothing I fancied on the menu. This was such a lovely touch. Made my day. Had a good nights sleep and had the breakfast the next day, it was 10.99 for hot and continental, not the biggest buffet but there was plenty and it was an absolute bargain at 10.99 including drinks. Had a great stay would recommend it and would stay again. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Premier Inn | Oldham Central | Jun 26 Mum & Daughter stay, not our first visit but one we chose to book when my daughter is set to compete. We have mixed reviews of this venue and was pleasently surpised that the service had improved grately this time. The restaurant and evening meal service matched this too. Sadly let down with breakfast, when the Chef strolled in way after 7, when service of a hot buffet style offering is advertised for a 7am start. Overall 4/5 stars - always room for improvement. Clear there has been some renevations take place and likely still in process, the original building is looking tired and could do with brightening up though the service and smiles received outweighed the hotels appearance.
