Manchester (Sale) hotel

We have stayed here happily several times and were quite disappointed this time. Instead of the usual heating/aircon system, there were 360° fans which were quite noisy and dried out the air. They also took up a lot of the surface space. The normal system may not have been available due to the building works? The instructions for the normal heating/cooling systems were still in the room which was a big annoying. This stay was also the most expensive we have had which we wouldn’t have minded as much if the facilities had been as expected. As usual, the bed was very comfortable and the bedding and towels were clean. We also noticed that the wall behind the bed was extremely dusty. It’s a shame as we normally have a great stay here.

From start to finish of our stay. The hotel catered for my mums disability with ease,care and there was a determination by the staff to ensure that everything was catered for her. Her room was beyond her expectations. The hotel was a great location and staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable

I stay at this hotel when I just need a ‘day’ off. It’s 5 minutes from my home. Despite extensive building work being undertaken, this had no impact on my stay whatsoever. Warmly greeted by Alison on Reception, who discreetly advised my room number was on the reverse on the key card as she handed it me. She asked if she could book me a time for breakfast and if I wished to dine at the new eatery. I took her up on both options. I went to my room so pleased that I had a bath, think they have that info on my account. So that was much appreciated. It was a warm evening so I was delighted there were two fans in the room. I had brought my own ‘ambient lighting’ with me just to make things even more beautiful. I went for dinner. Three small plates at an amazing price and not so small. The lovely Alison also made an appearance in the restaurant ensuring everything was ok for me. The other gentleman was also polite and attentive. My bed, was as expected and I had a wonderful sleep. Breakfast was lovely and very personalised as I was called by my name. All in all a fab overnight stay. Needless to say I will be back!

The room was downstairs and we were surprised to be able to hear occupants above us. It was only footsteps, but quite loud. Normally acceptable but this carried on easily till 1am, and resumed at 5.30am. The new restaurant was really good, but the breakfast catering faltered in fits and starts…. first no eggs, then no bacon, all in spite of the attempts of the excellent Leon who was efficient and charismatic- what a gem!!

Lovely place. Easy to get to location. Clean and quiet room, nice staff. We arrived late at night and male NTM was just perfect, quick check in and a smile. Comfortable bed, great hot breakfast and Leon was attentive and friendly. (perfect person to see when you just woke up and have no clue what’s going on). Overall great experience.
