    "Value for Money"
No frills no ills. It's a Premier Inn, it was clean, the food choices were good and tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is great for Bury or the tram into Manchester centre.
    "Deteriorating hotel standard and quality."
We have fairly regularly stayed at this relatively new hotel since it first opened back in 2011. Sadly the general maintenance standard and overall quality at this hotel has significantly deteriorated in the past few years. First of all the good stuff. Friendly helpful staff. Good breakfast selection. The decent Premier Inn mattress. But now for the rest of the review: PUBLIC AREAS In the public areas we found most of the furniture to be old, grubby, stained and rather tatty in the Bar and Restaurant areas. The restaurant table tops and floors were "sticky"/"tacky". One particular unpleasant experience, was the horrendous loud raucous "music" being played particularly at breakfast time. Apparently this is the choice of the hotel management, as apperently it is management's favourite music radio station.🥴 This is not the standard "background" music you would usually get at a Premier Inn. The music was loud and mostly "grating" with occasional inane chatter from the radio DJs. Not good when you are trying to relax and enjoy your breakfast and no sense of it being a pleasant leisurely experience. It should be a mandatory courtesy to paying hotel guests that the music playing at breakfast is a pleasant enjoyable, relaxing, background music, not a horrid overly-loud cacophony. The background music should be for the benefit of the paying guests who pay the wages of those who work at Premier Inn, not the other way around. Unless, that is, Premier Inn is deliberately trying to encourage paying hotel guests to stop using the restaurant facilities for breakfast. It also appeared that there were far fewer staff on the premises on this visit. And obviously fewer staff means less attention to detail. Very poor remedial painting in some areas, evidently not using professional tradesmen to do the work...just an inexperienced staff member with a brush. ACCOMMODATION. We stayed in three 4th floor rooms. 419, 421 and 422. All three rooms had issues regarding broken fittings etc. ROOM 422 Window surround was not completed with screws hanging out from the frame. The chair in the room also had a loose and broken back panel. ROOM 421 Significant metal window frame damage which prevented it from closing properly. This affected the acoustic seal which meant there was an additional external noise nuisance from the passing trams which started around 5.40am. The hanging rail in the wardrobe unit was completely missing, so we were unable to hang up clothes. ROOM 419 Wardrobe unit shelf had been significantly damaged preventing the drawer from opening properly. Very "unpleasant" looking "stains" on the tatty armchair. Shower rail appears to have been "yanked" off the wall leaving broken tiles around the rail fitting. If this had been our first experience of a Premier Inn hotel it would also have been the last. Please note this is definitely not a reflection of the general quality of staff at the hotel. This is down to a serious neglectful head office management team, whose culture and management style is evidently declining. Putting profit way ahead of customer satisfaction. Prices have significantly increased but the standards at this hotel have most definitely significantly decreased. And one other thing, the Parking Prices have skyrocketed at the adjacent Q Car Park which added another £11 - £14 for overnight parking. When we left we were given cards "Tell Us What You Think" that asked to put our feedback on Google or Trip Advisor. This review is the result.
"Pretty good but room to improve"
The bed was comfy and room was easy to check into late at night using self service check in while a member of staff fetched my bag from storage. I slept well and the temperature was fine in the room. The room was also nice and clean. I had to wait a while until anyone answered the buzzer at reception when I came in earlier to drop my bag off. Also, the shower kept flipping from hot to cold which was uncomfortable. I believe the breakfast is slightly overpriced and the room was overpriced too.
    "Hardworking staff"
Handy for our concert. Team provided food and kept bar open late for the Oasis fans who had to drive back from Heaton park. Many thanks
    "Great staff"
We stayed at the Bury Premier Inn when we went to see Oasis in Heaton Park. The hotel was full of Oasis fans and the staff went out of their way to make us all welcome. From the Oasis music playing in the background to pizza being available 24 hours for fans returning after the show - we all seemed to share the palpable excitement in the air - and staff and guests were chatty and friendly. We went for breakfast the next morning and it was definitely (maybe) obvious that all guests were aware that they had been part of something very special. Great location for getting tram. If we come back to Manchester we would stay here again.
