Manchester Airport (Heald Green) hotel

Room is fine but be warned ther is some aircraft noise as its on approach to the airport. Staff are fine, just a few niggles. please be warned , do not park in a numbered space, they are managed by the council and are NOT part of the premier inn. A £25 fine if you park there as i did. not the inns fault but they should warn everyone with a car. the eating area is very drab and needs demolishing. the front facias are rotten, and water egress will soon follow. however, its great for the airport ( 5 mins drive) and much cheaper , several takeaways exist in walking distance. dinner choice is limited. wifi was very good during my stay and free. no lift so must be able to negotiate stairs. not sure i'll return though, will try to find somewhere better.

From the moment we walked in, we didn't feel welcome, no smile from the receptionist, The room looked ok but on inspection it wasn't very clean, the carpet was filthy, the sealant in the bathroom was coming away, the switch on the lamp on the dressing table was broken although it was plugged in with the switch in the on position. The bathroom light didn't work, reported it to reception, who said they would have a look at it, but if he couldn't fix it that evening, he'll get someone out the next day. It still didn't work when we left Sunday morning. The plastic stripping behind the curtain fell off when we went to close the curtains. The chair was stained and in a disgusting state. To top that off the person above us stomped around most of there stay, sounded like they were walking on there heels, thump thump all the time. Needless to say: although we love Heald Green and have stopped at this Premier Inn 5 times in as many years. We won't be staying here ever again.

The whole place is filthy; carpet edges throughout the hotel are thick with dust and not had a good vacuum in months. Top of the wardrobe was extremely dusty and the grouting in the bathroom was mouldy and needed scrubbing Stairs, corridors and all public areas need painting, very shabby overall. I would not stay again.

Hotel very dated but reception told us big renovations begin in September which is definitely needed. Bed was comfortable and room was clean so we had a good nights sleep

The hotel is shocking very run down, toilets out of order, items being stored in the bar. Paint falling off the walls. The place is filthy. To the stage we wiped out feet as we left.
