Manchester Airport (Heald Green) hotel

For access to local trains and trams this Hotel is great - Heald Green station is two min walk away and is connected to the National Rail network, Tram stop Peel Hall is a five minute walk away and you can get the the city easily that way. We stayed here in 2023 in order to fly from manchester Airport and this hotel is competively priced to reflect their location, yes its under manchester Airport flight path but the noise is not that bad to be honest. Thats the niceties out of the way. Firstly, you will be wokein by other Guests going about their business and if you are unlucky enough to have someone in the floor above you who walks like an elephant then good luck - we had this for two days where the guests above us had no consideration for anyone else - when reception were advised of this they did not do anything to combat the problem. Secondly, deliveries were taking in before 0700 by a fire escpae directly by our window and therefore waking us up - trolleys and cages were used to delivery something and these made one hell of a noise when being dragged to the delivery lorry. once again reception just said these things need to be delviered and it was unlucky that it occurred on your stay. Lastly, very weird smell on entering the room, sort of a damp kind of smell that had been covered up one too many times and then there was this weird after smell. Not ideal especially when you come back after a day out and smell that. As previously stated this hotel is great for location but thats about it

Really friendly staff. Very close to Manchester Airport with good amenities. Food served was very good value and tasty.

Great location for the airport. Quiet hotel. Standard premier inn. Took advantage of the dinner and breakfast package, great value and quality. Jo in the restaurant looked after us really well. No charge for parking over night.

Good value, good night's sleep but not fond of the pillows... Award winning mattresses but not so keen on the pillows. It was one night before further travel so no problems with the experience and happily stay again. Or check in and check out we really quick and easy. Very friendly also.... We've stayed before and this time opted not to eat in the restaurant attached to the hotel. Our last visit the restaurant had changed hands to become the Premier Inn owned and the staff were diabolical, as was the service and food. On our arrival this year the restaurant was empty so it would appear our experience and thoughts about the eatery are not just our own!!!

We stayed here for 3 nights visiting friends and family. When I read the one star reviews after I booked I was a little apprehensive but I was relieved once we checked in. Exactly how you expect a Premier Inn to be. Lovely clean room, lovely clean bathroom with not a spot of black mould in sight. Pressure in the sink and shower were brilliant so I don't know what other people have experienced but we had a very pleasant stay. We arrived early on the morning of check in and staff were very accommodating to change our check in time to 11am with no fuss. We were greeted with 2 lovely members of staff on reception and as it was Easter both of our kids were given a free Easter egg on arrival. A lovely gesture. Staff throughout were attentive and cleaning was frequent. Tea, coffee, milk and sugar was provided in your room and you could collect top ups at reception anytime you wanted. We didn't use the restaurant so can't comment but there are plenty of restaurants and takeaways a 2 minute walk away. Heald Green train station is a 1 minute walk away to great links to the city centre and further afield. Don't listen to the poor reviews. There may be some tired rooms but ours was perfect. We will be back in the future.
