London Wembley Stadium hotel

AVOID. Room not ready upon arrival Dennish the manager rude and unhelpful qued 3 times to get a room key as rooms were not ready even at 3.30. An hour later got a room. The room was made up wrong also no electricity in the room. Bath had hairs in it and on the bath bored bowls and cups had chips in them.lift button to bottom floor unsafe and broken Would never stay here again!!! Don’t waste your money

Super close to Wembley stadium which was perfect as we were staying for the Bon Jovi concert on Friday 4th September. Clean room and overall hotel extremely clean and welcoming. Helpful friendly staff. The lady host at breakfast was really lovely friendly and helpful. Food was yummy and set us up for the day. Bed was comfy, and shower lovely and hot. Thank you!

Abysmal. Check in was bedlam. Hardly any staff available. Took 50 mins to get room keys. Bar area tables were tacky and there was crumbs and empty glasses on at least three tables. The lift we used had a strange stain down the wall. Our bags were left in an unsecured room. The corridor on the 9th floor looked like it hadn’t been hoovered in ages. Then we got in the room! Hair band complete with hair left on the bedside cabinet. Floor hadn’t been hoovered. Bathtub had pubic hairs and the shower head was filthy. Cleaned with a towel as we couldn’t face the scrum in reception. The shower curtain was dirty and far too long for the bath resulting in a trip hazard. At least the breakfast was good.

service was fast and efficient in the day but the bar got overcrowded and busy on the night. Meal deal was good value for money

During a horrific stay at the very much in need of an upgrade Wembley Park Premier Inn last time we were in the area we met a lovely lift repair man who recommended going to the stadium Premier Inn next time and he wasn't wrong. On his advice we booked this hotel and it is so much nicer and more modern than the other Premier Inn in the area. As the price wasn't too different we thought we'd try a Plus room for the first time in a Premier Inn and as I found no photos from this hotel of the room I thought I'd give it a proper review for anyone who's looking for real room photos like I was before booking which I never found. According to the website the benefits of a Plus room are: "On top of sinking into our famous comfy bed and choice of pillows, enjoy an improved place to work, air conditioning, a flat-screen TV with a vanity area with a stool, hairdryer and comfy armchair*. You'll even get a rainfall shower with luxury toiletries. Ahh, bliss." This makes it all sound fancy but a lot of these things are all available in the standard room. No you don't get a stool at the vanity area in a standard room but it's the same area just minus the stool. The improved place to work is a small desk that can be moved to the chair but in order to do this you've just lost your second bedside table as the table doubles as a bedside table and it really is tiny if you were working on it. There is a long table where the kettle etc. is but I've seen longer in a standard room in Manchester to this one. There is also a long cushioned bench which isn't typically available in standard rooms but I have had one in a standard room in Leicester Square before so they're not exclusive to Plus rooms. I do like the armchair and it is comfy but I prefer sitting on the bed. Other benefits are "All of our Premier Plus rooms come with a convenient mini-fridge and complimentary water, tea, a coffee machine with pods, sweet treats, and an iron and ironing board." This is where most of the difference is that we noticed. I liked having a fridge as it made storing food and drinks easier bought elsewhere. The coffee machine is a nice extra but I don't drink coffee so made no difference to me. I like the little chocolates as an extra and the water is appreciated but I wish it came as both bottles being still and in plastic bottles as glass bottles are inconvenient and I don't like sparkling water so I'd have to share the still one. The Ultimate WiFi is included by a code that is emailed to the person who booked the room. Thank goodness I found this as when trying to use the standard WiFi before that I couldn't get the profile pictures on IG or FB to load, nevermind the post itself as the internet was so bad! Without Ultimate WiFi it would have been unusable. The TV signal is also awful and was squarey a lot of the time (and the picture I included wasn't even at its worst!) The Project Art Works picture is different but it just looks like someone threw up in colour on the wall to me. Not the worst hotel art I've seen though, at least it adds some colour to the room. The only other difference I noticed that's not mentioned is a very strange and dull light in the bathroom. This is in addition to the normal lights. The light reminds me of a ghost light. It serves no purpose other than an odd decoration choice it seems. We did have a room with a view as this was all that was available at booking. I didn't have high expectations for the view but it was pretty good getting to see the stadium and towards the shopping centre. You could even see the shard and London eye very very far in the distance. I wouldn't pay for a view but it was a good one. We got to the hotel a few hours early and unfortunately the staff at this hotel are just as inconsiderate as those at the Wembley Park hotel. They refused to give us our rooms until 3pm even though he'd just told us they were ready for us but only if we paid £15 each. Empathy is obviously not a perk of Plus rooms then. We used to get checked in to Premier Inn rooms by 10am before the events of 2020 but since it's all greed asking for money to check in and money for views! Some hotels are better than others. Leicester Square have no problem with early check in for no charge and Manchester Arena Printworks told us to come early to check in last time but any in Wembley won't let you check in without paying even if it's 2:57pm like last time. The rooms are spacious and I enjoyed my stay. They're not the cleanest with a hair on the bed when I got there and crumbs on the long cushioned bench that stood out to me as soon as I walked in the room yet the cleaners left the mess. I think the only benefits to these rooms are the fridge and wifi, if the upgrade is £10 then it's probably worth it as the ultimate wifi costs £6 per 24 hours but any more and you may as well just choose a standard room as there's really no difference. I do agree with the lift repair man though, if you have a choice between this hotel and the Wembley Park hotel always choose this one.
