"Great Location, Mixed Experience"
I recently stayed at the Premier Inn Wandsworth and overall had a pleasant experience, with a few areas that could be improved.
The positives:
The location was excellent — right next to the shopping centre and several bus stops, and only a short walk to the train station, which made getting around London very easy. My room was comfortable, with a good bed and air conditioning that kept things at a nice temperature. The blackout curtains were extremely effective and made it easy to sleep, even during the long June daylight hours. I also found the prepaid breakfast to be decent value. Elevator access was convenient, and the housekeeping request I made during my stay was handled promptly and exactly as needed.
Where things could be better:
I wasn’t used to not having a staff member consistently present at the front desk. Having to buzz for assistance or to be let into the breakfast area each morning felt a bit inconvenient. At breakfast, I also had to explain each day that I was prepaid, and it often took longer than expected for staff to find my name on their list.
In the room, it would have helped to have a note explaining how the lighting system works. I wasn’t familiar with the master switch that requires inserting a card by the door, and initially thought something was wrong with the room. My room also didn’t have a TV remote for the first day and a half, which led me to believe the TV wasn’t working until a staff member brought one around. One of the vanity mirror light bars (room 123) was also very dim or burnt out.
At breakfast, I noticed that some of the food items — especially pastries and fruit — tended to attract flies shortly after being set out. In the bathroom, the shower curtain was too short for the tub, which made it hard to keep water from splashing out. I also wasn’t informed that the bed was actually two twin mattresses pushed together, which created a noticeable gap in the middle. The pillows were softer than I prefer, and a firmer option would have been appreciated.
Overall:
Despite a few inconveniences, I still had a comfortable stay and appreciated the convenient location and room comfort. With a few adjustments to communication, maintenance, and breakfast procedures, this hotel could offer an even smoother experience.

"Nice and quiet hotel with a convenient location"
Nice and quiet hotel with a convenient location close to the local shopping centre and bus station. The room was clean and tidy, and the staff were very responsive, polite, and cooperative. Any issues were handled promptly—for example, a minor problem with the sink was resolved within an hour after being reported.
On the downside, the room lacked fresh air as the windows could not be opened. Additionally, the balcony near reception was locked, which was inconvenient for smokers, as it required going outside to the street. Overall, a pleasant stay with professional service, but with some room for improvement in comfort.
