"Excellent choice in the Victoria Station area"
The hotel is in an excellent location, 5 minutes walk from the train station. The room was very large, spacious and clean. The breakfast was rich and delicious.
"Tired, dirty and understaffed"
We have stayed here several times before and enjoyed it but unfortunately this time was a big disappointment. The hotel is severely understaffed, tired and dirty. We upgraded this time to the Premier plus rooms - don't bother. All you get is better loo roll and 2 bottles of water. The rooms are same size as standard rooms and were not vacuumed properly. We moved a chair and there was thick dust underneath it. The restaurant was the biggest disappointment. It was FILTHY. There were large cobwebs hanging from the lights and the carpet was littered with food crumbs which remained there throughout our 3 night stay. The breakfast was OK but they were not able to provide poached eggs as per the menu, you had to make do with the conjealed fried eggs on offer. We booked an evening meal for 5 pm on our first night, got seated and then told they weren't opening the kitchen for another hour which meant we wouldn't be in time for a show we had booked, so had to hop in a taxi and find somewhere else to eat quickly. All in all, it looks like the staff are trying their best but there just isn't enough of them. Pity as the location of this place is great.
"Great location but hotel needs updating"
Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was good. Bed comfortable. Hotel has seen better days and desperately needs updating.
"London is expensive but for the price, this place is unacceptable for me"
The hotel was well placed to Victoria station where we arrived and left. The staff, when we could find them, were lovely but so few of them, an example was that the receptionist was also the barman. The rooms were not cleaned every day unless requested at the reception. We were there for 4 nights. The bathroom was a disgrace without anything to put a toothbrush in and paint all around the edge of the mirror showing an appalling level of maintenance. The evening meal was very acceptable but nothing special. Breakfast was good for me as I don't eat much anyway and much better priced in comparison to other places I have stayed albeit for a smaller choice. And all this would have been acceptable except for the price which is very high for what was delivered
"Typical Premier Inn"
Location good for my needs. Room was a bit dated and very drab in decor. Bathroom not well maintained with dirty tile grout and leaky shower fitting.
