London Victoria hotel

Premier is not the right way to describe this hotel. Tired, poorly maintained, and mediocre. The restaurant and breakfast was closed, not advised prior to checking in (to their credit, breakfast was refunded) - allegedly due to health and safety issues but a clear sign of decline. The room was terrible, with the air con machinery outside the window, a relentless noise for the night. The shower controls were broken and took much manipulation to use. The curtains didn't cover the window opening and let light in. Very noisy room, tired hotel, and only a comfy bed to show for the price. Would not recommend, pick one of the other Premier Inns around the city.

1. We asked for a premier plus room well you could not swing a cat round it. 2. Windows could not open and it was so hot that I don't think any A/C was working as it should. 3. There was no space for small items of clothing ie drawers etc. 4. The sink in the shower room would not empty right away as it seemed blocked when it did all the scum from the soap was on the sink itself. 5. The bulb in the light fixing on the wall was broken it was falling out if you move it, it would come on. 6. The bed was lumpy not the usual premier inn comfort. 7. The carpet was stained both in the room and outside. 8. The lift had plastic tape holding parts together. 9. The woodwork was damaged and paint chipped in various places. 10. The restaurant was closed, just as well I had not booked evening meal and breakfast) it had been closed since the 20 May 26.

All the staff, especially Julia, we are very welcoming, friendly and efficient. If I was to review this hotel purely on the staff, it would a strong 5*. However, there were a number of issues. Firstly, when we arrived, we were informed that there was a problem in the dining room, which had been closed for a week and would remain closed beyond our stay. And no breakfast or dinner would be available. This was very disappointing as we do like to start our day off with a good breakfast when we stay at a Premier Inn. It would’ve been helpful if we had been given prior notice to this. Prior to our visit I had contacted the hotel to request a shower with a handheld showerhead. I had explained that I had recently undergone and needed to ensure my surgical wound remained dry. This would be no problem, I was told. However, The shower in the room we stayed have been set up incorrectly. The temperature tap and the on off tap had been installed the wrong way round, almost resulting in a flood. Fortunately, the quick action of the staff member quickly located the issue. Additionally, the overhead shower could not be turned off when the handheld showerhead was in use. By no means an ideal situation. Saying all of this. The hotel is in wonderful location with an easy reach of many fabulous places to visit. Once again, all the staff did a great job. Comfortable beds.In my opinion The Premier Inn London Victoria is long overdue a full refurbishment. It

Lovely clean hotel. Quiet rooms. Good customer service, friendly, helpful, professional team. Reception welcoming and helpful. Great restaurant service from Janzen (evening meal) and from Julia (breakfast). My husband is coeliac and both were very mindful and careful to ensure that everything was gluten-free. The team are a credit to Premier Inn. Will definitely return next time we visit London.

Excellent welcome, service and a great location. I would recommend here to others and stay again. Fantastic! The lady on reception made us feel very special for my friends birthday.
