London Victoria hotel

We have stayed here a couple of times and the staff are amazing. The hotel itself is a bit down at heel and could use a refurb. The hotel is just behind Victoria Station and if you are able to walk for 5 minutes you are close to underground connections. We stay here because it is good value for money AND the things that are important to us are good. the beds are always comfortable and clean and the bathroms are always spotless. the staff are all lovely. they can't do enough for you and they all smile at you, they are all good but would like to mention Pearl who looked after us in the restaurant. it wasn't fine dining but we thought the £29.99 deal for 2courses and a drink for dinner and cooked breakfast is perfect. we are 75 and appreciated not having to look for a restarant for a meal after a busy day. we will certainly be back. oh that's another thing. when we got into our bedroom there was a card saying yay you came back with two little bars of chocolate. Premier Inn can be proud of all the staff at Victoria thank you

Location is great, however spend the extra money to get a better experience. The hotel is dated, basic and the restaurant has an awful sewage smell, and the food is undercooked!

The Premier Inn is well placed for siteseeing in London and further afield with excellent tube & rail links at Victoria Station. The staff are friendly, you will get a good night's sleep and the food is tasty and reasonably priced.

The best Premier inn experience i've come across. We recently had a lovely stay at this Premier Inn. firstly we we greated by a very freindly member of staff who sorted or key cards out for our rooms. we had to rooms and for the first time ever they asked would you like rooms near, which was excellent as I was with an elderly family member and being nearby was a great help. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, the hotel was to a very high standard. We enjoyed our nights stay. The only thing I can fault was the poor experience in the onsite restaurant. Firstly the waiter had no idea what shandy was, and then had no idea how to make orange juice and lemonade, so we had to go with just a normal soft drink. the food was poor, and not very much of it. we were supposed to get dinner and breakfast for an offer, of something like £30 for both but we had to pay individually for both and the breakfast was even worse than the dinner. so advice avoid the restaurant as its not good and was run down compared to the rest. there are plenty of places nearby for food. The hotel its self I highly recommend, reasonably good value for central london. And a safe, freindly and peaceful stay was had. I highly recommend

One of the worst Premier Inns I've ever stayed in, and I've stayed in a lot. For the high price we paid we should have had much better. I've given 2 stars as the bed was comfortable, but otherwise it was below a 1 star experience. Our hearts sank when we arrived, exterior tatty and looked like a downmarket hostel. Check-in not great, asked for a second key but was told we'd have to come back later when another staff member was there. Or apparently we could download the app and use our phone as the 'key'. I have nothing against apps in general, I have several, but I really couldn't be bothered. We were only there 2 nights so we settled for one key card. The room was fairly clean. There was just one chair. Why, in a room designed for 2 people? There was plenty of space, so we asked for a second chair, and were told one would be provided. It wasn't. One hand towel between two, which is standard in Premier Inns now. I always ask for another one, which is willingly provided, but one shouldn't have to ask. Ditto water glasses. These also used to be provided and now aren't. Bathroom facilities were poor. Toilet very difficult to flush. Basin tap pressure pathetic, as was shower. The shower control knob was broken, just turned round and round. Water temperature was tepid and couldn't be made any hotter. There was no shower tray to put toiletries in. The fan was permanently on, which was noisy. Staffing - what a joke. One person on duty doing everything, and long waits for service. Communal areas were awful, seats falling apart. The restaurant is in a dingy windowless basement, hot and smelly. We had one breakfast, which was lukewarm. Toaster didn't work properly, toast was either not done at all, or incinerated. We really didn't want to eat there again. Tables weren't cleared or wiped, again, shortage of staff. Interesting to see the hundreds of poor reviews of this hotel, and no response from Premier Inn at all. Sadly this lack of investment and poor customer service is becoming typical of Premier Inns.
