London Uxbridge hotel

Excellent staff any problems sorted efficiently very polite helpful

Firstly this premier inn is essentially located on a business estate some 15 minute walk from Uxbridge town centre and the tube line. It is a reasonably pleasant walk. We travelled as a couple with a one year old son and booked this hotel as a base for three nights and for two days of travelling into central London on the tube. With free parking at the hotel this was an attractive feature. Parking is plentiful and safe. We pre-booked the meal deal for breakfast and dinner as well as a cot which was already in our room on arrival and suitable. On the first night we made it clear that we wanted our rooms refreshed each day of our stay but was disappointed to return after a long day to find that our room had not been refreshed. Apparently this has to be told to reception each day. Ridiculous. Unfortunately the housekeeping staff had been released for the day by 3.30pm and we had no option to accept the unrefreshed room - save for some fresh towels which the very helpful guy on reception offered to us. Dining is very chaotic and whilst a high chair is brought for our infant and food orders taken we waited and waited and waited on two occasions to discover that our food order had somehow been misplaced. Desserts had to be chased up and hurriedly obtained, in my case an almost rock hard cheesecake. The dining in the evening seems to be geared to single men and not families. Football tv coverage is loud and the beer is flowing with often wild celebrations. No compensation is offered for the food delays or mistakes. Breakfast is ok - no more than that. The hotel seems very short staffed and apart from one member of staff who was very efficient, polite and apologetic (appeared to be a manager or supervisor) they are rather untrained in customer service. We have stayed in over 10 Premier Inn’s and it’s a brand we like but this experience was negative and chaotic.

The hotel is your usual Premier Inn, decent enough room etc, staff are super friendly. But the cooking of the food is exceptionally good. I've been scathing of the standard of meals in many Premier Inn over the years but the chef in this one is brilliant. Mixed grill last night cooked to perfection, crisp sausages, tender chicken and gammon and a rump steak exactly medium rare. Can he come to Hammersmith when I'm there in August please. Well done all.

Very clean, amazing staff, I’ve stayed three times over the years. As a manager of holiday lets and my own cleaning business, I look in places other guests wouldn’t for the quality of cleanliness. I found all staff very helpful and great breakfasts. Unfortunately on this stay while having breakfast on our second day my plate was removed before I’d finished. I did put it to the side to show my sister something on my phone. I suspected from the uniform it was a housekeeper filling in. She apologised. It didn’t affect our experience. I’d certainly return and probably will very soon.

Best Premier Inn I’ve stayed in and the location is perfect for my Head Office. The atmosphere is great, the rooms are clean and quiet, and the restaurant is huge with an open kitchen and great food. The best part about staying here though is definitely the staff who are always polite, friendly and professional. Duty Manager “Raakesh” is exceptional and particularly worthy of praise, even lending me a phone charger when I’d failed to pack mine. Looking forward to staying here again soon.
