"A very friendly hotel"
I like Premier Inns for their comfortable beds and great breakfast, and this one was conveniently situated for me, a 10 minute walk from London Bridge Station, and about the same from Tower Bridge, in now very bijou Bermondsey. I knew I would not be in my room much, so opted not to upgrade, but paid for unlimited breakfast. I liked the location, but what I enjoyed most of all was the friendliness, helpfulness, and professionalism of the staff, making it an excellent place for families to stay.
My room was clean, and the bed comfortable as expected. I always find the Premier furnishings a bit odd, with their lack of drawers or a proper wardrobe, but this is OK for a night or two. What I did find annoying was the lack of any plug sockets or USB ports near the bed.
I opted to eat in on my first night, and enjoyed an excellent vegan burger, with incredible hand-cut chips. The beer selection could be a bit better, but there's a 2 for 1 offer on in the evening, and the service is great.
I didn't have much time for my breakfast on my first day, and don't eat much anyway, but they have some fantastic vegan options, and I enjoyed my hurried breakfast. After a long day, I slept well, and since it was Saturday, and I didn't have to check out until 12, I had planned to have a more leisurely breakfast, and take my time drinking coffee and catching up on my social media for an hour or so. Unfortunately, one of the staff had other ideas, and I felt rushed out. Far worse though, was when she waved a card under my nose as I was drinking coffee, soliciting for a Tripadvisor review. I was trying to do something else on my phone, and told her that I would be sure to leave a positive review when I got home. Undeterred, she forcefully told me, "I need you to do it now." Reluctantly, I scanned the code, but I didn't have my reading glasses with me, and had only recently gotten up. It is some of the rudest behaviour I have ever experienced in a hotel, and in stark contrast to the exemplary professionalism of the other staff, who I really feel she let down. I eventually had to insist that I would leave a review later, and she went away, but it ruined my morning, and I was so annoyed, I ended up checking out early.
Despite this very unpleasant incident, I am still awarding 5 stars as I feel that the other staff were excellent, and don't deserve to be tarnished by a rogue employee.

I would like to sincerely thank Simran for her outstanding hospitality during my stay at Premier Inn. She was friendly, professional, and always willing to help with a smile. Her kindness and attention to detail made me feel welcome and comfortable throughout my visit.

"Worth your stay with family."
Location was great , close to max. spots. Atmosphere was comfortable, welcoming and staffs were very friendly . Room was as expected for a family of 4, very clean (except the carpets) Overall we had great stay and would recommend further.
