"Not the best welcome"
I am a mature female travelling alone for the first time and on arrival (30th May 2025) 10 mins early I was told quite abruptly by the young dark curly haired female on the desk (who was just finishing her shift at 3) that I could not check it until 3pm. So the few of us who were there had to wait until 3pm on the dot to check in. There is a way to speak to guests and I think this person could do with a bit of customer service training. The room would definitely be sitting ready at that time - what would be the difference to just allow us in that few mins early especially as I was very tired after a long journey. Fortunately the lady who took over from her was lovely as were all the other staff I came into contact with. On accessing my allocated room there was a distinctive weird smell. At first I thought I could live with it but within a few minutes I knew that would not be possible. At reception the lovely lady found me an alternative room which was fine. I did notice on the next evening as I came out of my room there was a definite smell of cannabis which is very off-putting. I would appreciate if the hotel would deal with this promptly and successfully as staff cannot not notice that smell. The stay was good apart from these things mentioned. Hotel is in a good location near public transport (10 min walk to tube) and there are plenty of places to eat nearby if you don't eat in the hotel. If you are staying more than one night you need to let reception know each day by 12pm if you would like your room cleaned. You need to go to the desk as there is not a phone to contact them. There is not much tea/coffee provided in the room but you can collect more from the dedicated area near reception. Also extra towels are available there as well. The air con in the room was very good and can be changed to heat or turned off so this was really appreciated.
"Great stay and staff were very helpful and friendly"
We chose this Hotel because of its location to where our Son and his Girlfriend live. It’s easily reached on foot from either Tooting Broadway or Tooting beck tube stations. The staff were very friendly and helpful on arrival and as we arrived a little early for our check in they had a nice seating area to wait with its own Bar. There is also coffee, Tea, Milk and sugar next to the reception if you need additional for your room. The room and bathroom was very clean and we had a towel each, only issue was that there was only a small amount of toilet paper left so we had to go to reception to ask for more ( should of been refilled when the room was cleaned. Breakfast was plentiful with a well stocked continental area. This is one of the best premier inns I’ve stayed in and we will stay there again unless our son moves.
"Standard Premier Inn"
We stayed here for one night in April. Standard Premier Inn with all the usual features. Window in the room doesn’t open but the air con does work, although I had to ask the cleaner to show me how to get it going. Bit of an odd smell in our room, can’t put my finger on what it was and there was only one towel in the room when we arrived but apart from that everything was ok. It was nice and quiet at night. The area around the hotel might not be to everyone’s taste, Thames Water are digging up the surrounding streets and there appears to be an issue with refuse collection. 10 minutes walk to the tube (Tooting Bec or Tooting Broadway, Northern Line). 30 minutes + into central London. Lots of pubs and restaurants nearby, especially curry houses. Maybe would stay again if in the area.
"Filthy carpets poor customer service"
Filthy carpets in bedroom stains on floor, musty room smelt of smoke , I was in a premier plus lacked extra care, on arrival paid extra for early check in to be faced with filthy carpets! . On checking out in the morning receptionist was miserable and rude grunted at me ! unwelcoming! Not nice at all! I have stayed in many premier inns this was terrible by far enough to put me off as a regular customer.
"100% recommend"
Very modern, clean and close to the underground station, which takes you to central London in less than 30 mins. Excellent value for money. My parents who stayed there while visiting me in London (I dont have a spare bedroom) were very satisfied
