London Tolworth hotel

Overall I had a very nice stay. Everything was perfect. Peter the receptionist he helped me to book taxi on his own mobile. Very helpful staff.

The windows don't open and the air con is rubbish. Room was boiling Shower / water pressure is pretty lame too Rest of the room was a good standard, clean etc

Nice hotel but very short staffed. Waited nearly 2 hours to be seated for dinner even though the restaurant/ bar was nearly empty. Majorly understaffed . Waited a long time to order drinks and food. Wish we had gone elsewhere to eat now.

We stayed for two nights at Premier Inn Tolworth. We were checked in and given the keys to our room (this is where it starts to go downhill). When we entered the room, it was quite obvious that it was two single mattresses pushed together (no idea why we weren't just given an actual double room??), there was no tv remote and no cups. A quick trip to reception and this was going to be sorted. We then discovered that our door didn't even close and you could just push it open from outside. So off back to reception for the 2nd time. We had to explain to the person on the desk that if the door doesn't close, it doesn't lock, so we would naturally need a room change. We got given another room opposite our original one. Two single mattresses pushed together again (so a nice dip down the middle!) and the most flat pillows you could get. The next bundle of joy at reception told us "We only have one type of pillow" which was codeword for "I can't be bothered to sort this out" because everyone knows you get firm & soft pillows at every Premier Inn hotel. Housekeeping was poor as is the case with most Premier Inn's these days. Massive build up of dust around the room, grime on the lamp switch, taps & showers which indicates that nobody's actually even touched it for a long time. There is a much cleaner Travelodge just up the road which we'll probably use from now on.

On the night of our stay the hotel was facing a few challenges. However the staff on shift worked tirelessly to make sure that my family and other guests remained happy and content with their stay. I do not know the name of the lady in charge that night but she deserves a shout out for dedication to her job, she really went above and beyond. Had a great night's sleep too, nice and quiet what more could I ask for.
