"Great budget hotel"
Not my first stay and won’t be the last. The hotel is in a great location for getting about the city. Comfy twin beds and quiet spacious room. Walk in shower with nice shower gel. Tea and milk available in reception to grab as much as you want. Also really like the new lockers that are free to use for storing bags very handy to let you make the most of your first and last day. Only small gripe was the QR code for self check in didn’t work but was easy enough to search using the booking reference. Also some of the kiosks weren’t working. Looking forward to staying again next week.
"Perfect"
We come from 🇹🇼. This is the first time family trip. Great breakfast (children free), good bed, and perfect location.
"Room for improvement"
Comfy bed, reasonably silent room despite busy street below. Bathroom was clean, modern and ok - I don’t particularly like showering in a tub, but the water pressure and heat was good enough. Breakfast is all right very early in the morning but during busy hours you can feel a sense of understaffing as there’s always a shortage of plates, foods or cups and such which causes lot of queuing at times. The breakfast selection is also rather modest, and the (blended) juices were offending. Staff was friendly and helpful. The Free Wifi speed was rather unusable for anything really.
"Family trip"
Our family of 11 was well cared for at this hotel during a post cruise stay. We were able to check in early and include the breakfast hot/cold buffet in our accommodation package. Close to sights and transportation options, the comfortable hotel provided ease of exploring the area.
"Room ok - food and service pathetic......."
Upon arrival we found the rooms perfectly serviceable for our 1 night stay before an early start on the train to France the next day. This is however, where the niceties end....... We had booked for an overnight stay, and paid extra for an evening meal included in the price. We sat down to dinner at 7.35pm and ordered our drinks (4 soft drinks and a pint of cider for me). The waitress came up to enquire what we wanted to eat and informed us that they had no chicken and no burger buns (this is London - the Capital of our great country, and one of the biggest developed cities in the world - surely such things could be acquired if so desired?) Thus rendering a quarter of their limited menu obsolete from the get go? We were then informed (at 8.10pm - 35 minutes after ordering of said drinks) that they had no cider on draught and 3 out of the 4 beers were not on draught either? So......no fresh chicken, no burger buns, 4 out of 5 draught beers/ciders unavailable? What an utter sh*tshow!! 2 people trying to run the whole restaurant in central London in the middle of the summer holidays? Someone really does need hauling over the coals for this? A member of our party said he could tell it was going to be like this when we walked into the restaurant - good god, how I wish we'd have listened to him! Overall, room ok (nothing special - but this is Premier Inn - you're not expecting the Dorchester!), but for heavens sake don't go for the meal inclusive option - better off walking to the nearest fast food outlet where management are fully clued up on how much is needed to provide a full menu to cater serving the public.
