London Southwark (Southwark Station) hotel

Very nice stay enjoyed my time in the hotel. We went for a business event and i would stay again as a preference. I know what I am getting with a premier inn so was nice an easy.

I don't want to rate this hotel or area as a '1' but my room wasn't ready at 5pm (3pm is agreed check-in) and they'd confirmed with my daughter x2 verbally that the room would be ready - but the person on reception didn't care. "Too busy" apparently. But it's a hotel. I said I would complain about this and I have plus low rating here.

Best stay i ever had in London, friendly staff, clean rooms and safe area. I recommend this hotel, good value for the money, the location is great, is close to every tourist attraction. I really enjoyed my stay.

Avoid this hotel. We live directly opposite the Premier Inn Southwark Station and have spent months trying to get management to deal with homeless people and drug users who repeatedly gather in the staff smoking area right opposite our front door, and behind the bike sheds — which back onto the window of one of their own family rooms. Anyone staying there with kids should know what's going on a few feet from where they sleep. We've raised it again and again. Every time, we're told there's an "internal investigation" underway, but they won't tell us what it involves, what's been done, or when — if ever — it'll be resolved. Months of being fobbed off with the same vague line while nothing actually changes on the ground. If a hotel can't be bothered to secure its own smoking area and grounds, or to communicate honestly with the neighbours affected by it, I wouldn't trust them to look after guests properly either. Save yourself the hassle and book somewhere else.

I stayed here with my daughter for 1 night during the heatwave. It’s a fantastic location a couple of minutes from Southwark tube but tucked away so it’s really quiet. Modern building, clean and comfortable room and very comfortable bed. The air conditioning was fully functional (thankfully!) and very quiet too. The staff could not have been more helpful - very warm and welcoming. I do a lot of travelling for work and this premier inn in particular is fantastic value for money - I would highly recommend. We didn’t try the breakfast but the restaurant opposite looked good too.
