      "Horrible"
Horrible experience, service and food were terrible, receptionist misled us... Would never use again Horrible experience, service and food were terrible, receptionist misled us... Would never use again
"Great staff but lack of air-con = lack of sleep."
The staff at the hotel couldn't have been more helpful but our stay was marred by the heat in the room; no air-conditioning and a single fan that was absolutely useless. Walking into the room a wall of heat just hit us and it was pretty much impossible to sleep, I heard another guest making the same comment to staff in the restaurant so it wasn't just our room. I get that Premier Inns aren't exactly a luxury brand but we usually enjoy staying in them, Romford Central was not a great experience.
      "Disabled confirmation ignored"
On the 3rd of July, I phoned Mercury Gardens and asked for the disabled room in the annex that I had stayed in in 2024. The room was allocated to me and I received an email from them saying "Room details: Accessible Double Wet Room". When I booked in on the 11th of July, I was told that a disabled room was unavailable. I showed the receptionist the email I had been sent. She repeated coldly that a disabled room was unavailable. No explanation. No apology. If you are disabled or just old (I am 77 years of age), please think again about booking this place. They may treat you the way they treated me.
      "Awful Customer Service"
Sadly, nowhere near as good as other Premier Inn hotels around the country. No air conditioning in room (room is far too hot to be in for 5mins (trust me, you will not be able to sleep) and wi-fi doesn’t work at all in rooms. Worse of all was the awful customer service. Having spent 20 years in customer service myself, Gina should be nowhere near a customer service role. She makes Basil Fawlty look competent. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR - AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
      "Very hot room."
The room had no air-conditioning and was very hot and uncomfortable at 2.30am it was 31 degrees, no soap in either dispensers when you wanted a shower in the morning from sweating. ☹️
