London Kingston Upon Thames hotel

Lovely stay in hotel, the reception staff are really nice, courteous and helpful, especially Ejwing who checked me in, even though check in time would normally be 3pm, he was happy to give me a room a bit earlier, and he was very helpful and said if there was anything else I needed, then to call in at reception, like if I liked to have my room cleaned over the course of my stay, then to let them know the day before.

The first impression of the outside of the building was poor, An old concrete block that was dirty. The foyer was gruby with cracked floor tiles and a dirty floor. Not welcoming at all. The receptionist didn't even say hello or smile All furniture on the reception and restaurant was in dire need of replacement. The place is very dark and poorly lit. Level 5 corridors smelt terrible as did the bathroom in our room. Our room had seen better days, the chair fabric was torn, paint coming off the walls and the carpet was gruby. The bed was very good and the breakfast was OK. Overall we won't be going back anytime soon

The hotel itself is well placed and the rooms lovely. The staff I met were very good and friendly but there were not enough of them. Had to wait for drinks as same person checking people in as serving at the bar. Was bad during peak times. Also the lift situation not good. Seemed like only 1 lift working as others out of order. Stopped at every floor up and down and everyone frustrated. This must be sorted out as not good. Shame as rooms and staff great.

We had such a wonderful stay at Premier Inn Kingston and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Every single member of staff was so warm, welcoming and genuinely kind, but a special thank you to Miann, who went above and beyond to make us feel at home. She was so thoughtful with our 1-year-old daughter, even giving her a banana and an apple, which was such a lovely gesture. The whole team made us feel incredibly comfortable throughout our stay. Whenever the common area was quiet, they were happy for us to relax there, and our daughter felt so safe and comfortable around the staff that she was able to practice her walking up and down the restaurant (always closely supervised by us, of course!). Seeing how relaxed and happy she was says everything about the friendly atmosphere they create. The manager was also absolutely fantastic!! So understanding, accommodating and genuinely helpful. Nothing ever seemed like too much trouble, and their kindness really made our stay extra special. We can’t recommend this hotel highly enough. The customer service is second to none, and it’s the people who work here that make it such a special place to stay. 10/10 we’ll definitely be coming back the next time we’re in Kingston. Thank you all for making us feel so welcome!

Nice, clean hotel. Excellent food! Center of everything Kingston. Employees were very attentive and kind. The ONLY thing I would change is to have little fridges in the rooms for dinner leftovers. Maybe access to a microwave and/or laundry facilities. Overall a great 8 day stay.
