"Better than recent reviews suggest"
Having booked the hotel months ago on a non-refundable basis we were very concerned to read recent bad reviews, particularly about the “lack of air conditioning” – a big worry as the daytime temperatures were forecast to be 30deg plus for the two nights we were staying there. We tried to contact the hotel’s reception before we travelled to check the situation but no reply to our phone calls or email. So naturally we were very apprehensive, and when we arrived we raised the issue with the receptionist (“Sidhu”) who was very helpful and re-assuring.
He explained that there IS air conditioning and it IS working – but not to it’s full capacity. Because of this they have significantly reduced the number of rooms they are allowing to be booked, so that the remaining rooms have working aircon. He advised setting the thermostat to minimum (19), closing the blackout curtains, and leaving the aircon on when we were out of the room. We also borrowed a fan which helped too. This worked pretty well, with the room at 19 most of the time. Not a perfect solution then, but given the extreme heat over the last few days a lot of hotels would have been worse!
Re the other aspects of our stay - the food and drink offerings were fine (usual Premier Inn fayre) and the staff were great, especially Macquela who was lovely and made us very welcome in the bar and restaurant.
As others have mentioned the outside of the hotel and corridors are a bit scruffy and the rooms rather dated, but our room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean.
Overall not the best Premier Inn we have used but better than we thought it might be!

"Perfect location. Easy buses to Syon Park and Kew Gardens"
Very friendly staff. Great happy hour too. A comfortable bed but the under sheet was not big enough to tuck in!

"Awful experience"
Awful smell to the hotel, complained about this prior to my departure aswell as issues with the hot room, the lack of air conditioning/unsuitability of fans and 'no sleep' prior to my departure. Was told to take it up with customer services who have basically said 'tough, you knew there was no air conditioning, not our problem'. Despite being told in an email that the air conditioning was not working (which clearly implies that they have it), we had non refundable rooms so could not cancel. Have been told again today sorry, end of matter, we will not be responding to you again.

"Lame"
Poor. No a/c working in unbearable heat. Fan was useless, staff couldn't do anything about it, customer services didn't want to engage either. Nothing offered by compensation. 3 terrible night's sleep. Probably the last

"Nothing Premier about it"
Writing a long hotel review during a heatwave isn't no fun. But neither is staying in an airtight hotel room with no AC. "You can get a fan from reception" an email proudly stated. Expect they they didn't thave any left when I asked. That's when I managed to find a member of staff to ask.
Open a window? Nothing doing. The comfort police put a stop to that with the nanny state window restrictors.
Want to try and stay hydrated? No complimentary water in the room of course, this is the UK, and service standards mean nothing to us. £3 from a vending machine in reception. Couldn't even pay for an overpriced drink at the bar as it was closed at 2230.
The best part of the stay was only staying one night, I mused, while bleary-eyed and waiting for my cab the next morning, surrounded by weeds and cig ends at the hotel entrance.
Nothing Premier about my experience, except the price.
