"Second rate hotel, not in Kew!"
The car park is filthy. The reception area is tatty. We went out to a meeting and returned at 2238hrs to find the bar closed. We went to the local pub about 100 metres away and that was closed to. There is no table or chairs in the room and no TV to watch. So here we are bored out of our skulls sitting in a grubby Brentford hotel, which is nowhere near Kew.
"Disappointed with the customer service"
A hotel staff member was very rude and very unhelpful when we arrived back from a concert. It was 1am and I had rang reception bell to ask if I could have a glass of water. I was greeted by a very rude man who was abrupt, made me feel like an idiot for wanting a glass of water and told me to use the vending machine. I told him that the vending machine had ran out of water and I would really appreciate a glass of water to then be told he was far too busy to get me a glass of water and he stormed off through the back and shut the door on me. I saw a different staff member who I explained the situation too and he was very helpful and without hesitation got me a glass of water. I didn’t think in this day and age asking for a glass of water would be such an inconvenience and a problem to somebody. Apart from that, great stay and every other staff member was very welcoming and helpful.
"Satisfactory to good - but needs refurbishing and usb points!"
Hotel generally fine. Room large, clean and neat and tidy but a little dated. Needs a refurbish. Staff throughout very good, pleasant and helpful. Big issue was the absence of a usb point. They have them in buses but not at this hotel - either in the bedroom or elsewhere in the hotel! May sound trivial but it is not if you are working and meant my phone went flat. There once was an old fashioned collection of data points but now not working (probably for the old tv that has been replaced). This spoiled an otherwise most satisfactory stay. Despite it being a little tired and no usb, an ok to good stay but take a plug to connect your usb to!
"Lack of response to customer requests and lack of cleanliness lets this hotel down"
The reception and dining room was in dire need of upgrading. The seats in the reception area were ripped, and the chairs in the bar and dining area were extremely dirty. This was a real shame as our bedroom and bathroom were clean. Towels were in short supply, and we had to ask twice for them. You have to request a room clean. Our friends asked for their room to be cleaned two days running, and requested a bath mat - neither the bath mat or the cleaner materialised. Such a shame as we have used Premier Inns in other locations where the standard of service has been excellent.
"A great location with friendly team"
Lovely staff made the stay. Of course, always a great night's sleep, too! The Kew Bridge Premier Inn is on the very regular 65 bus route (amongst others) and it's so easy to go to Richmond, Kew Gardens, the Steam Museum, Musical Museum from this great base.
