"Great room, unhelpful staff"
Great room, very clean, and easy to get to the airport by bus (drops you right outside). Tried to ask staff about whether we could get a bus to the airport early in the morning and we were surprised that they had no information. We ended up finding out from other guests that the first bus is at 3.52 am and takes you straight to the airport. Don't get the overpriced £26 taxi recommended by the hotel to terminal 5.
"Close with good transport conections to T5, friendly staff, lively restaurant"
A basic hotel hotel for a quick layover near the airport. It is clean and the most important thing, very close to T5 Heathrow but no aircraft noise. In any case, the noise might come from other guests opening or closing doors. Good blackout on windows. Overall a good choice at Heathrow area.
"Convenient location for T5 with a bus stop across the road"
Everything was exactly as expected, however, the restaurant closed far too early. I had brought food with me but I am sure that people arriving after a long flight would expect to get hot food at around 21.00 or later. I didn't have any hot water in the morning and because I had to leave so early, there was no time to complain.
"Lost property"
I will start with the positive feedback, room was clean, staff very polite and we had a nice meal for our dinner, we had a good evening with family before our morning flight. However, we were very disappointed to get an email back about our lost property we left behind that it hasn’t been logged in by housekeeper and they basically don’t have it. We were in a huge hurry as we have a child and we were late to leave that morning so unfortunately we couldn’t check our room properly. Very dishonest housekeeping team unfortunately. Two things we left behind were a metal water bottle and a neck travel pillow they both were brand new and a famous brand so we believe housekeeper would want to keep them things and never recorded anything. After my last email to reception team I never received any response. Very disappointing.. We will never use this hotel again.
"Caterpillar catastrophe"
on arrival at the hotel, we were told that the outside area was closed I asked why I was told because there had been an outbreak of caterpillars LOL after asking a few more questions to different staff members, I was told that it had been shut most of the summer I had a quick look on Google to see if I could find anything out about these caterpillars and apparently they stop breeding in July. My day was on the 30th of August so they had plenty of time to treat the area with chemicals maybe it was shut because nobody could be bothered to go out there and clear up the ashtrays maybe it’s been shut most of the summer to keep the air-conditioning bill down I really don’t think it was because of caterpillars LOL ps I was told caterpillars hate BS maybe somebody could’ve spread some of that round the garden to keep them away
