"A Good Airport Hotel"
I was recommended this hotel as a good place to stay before a flight.
As a precursor, I've stayed in a lot of airport hotels, especially around Heathrow and Gatwick. After a recent chaotic stay at Premier Inn Gatwick I had my worries but this was great!
We arrived via the Hoppa bus after dropping our car off at Long Stay parking (much easier than moving the car the next day from the hotel car park). Made to feel very welcome and were given printed information regarding bus times the following morning.
The room was very clean, overlooking the car park towards the runway. I will say that this review may have been different had we been given one of the inward facing rooms, which look into the lobby or a courtyard. This is becoming more common at airport hotels (PI Gatwick, Sofitel, etc). Try to avoid these rooms.
We ate at the restaurant, reasonably priced (for an airport) and a good selection of food. Despite it being August there was plenty of space available.
Would happily stay here again.

"Upsetting"
Everywhere I stayed during my Europe trip in 2025 was very good. Unfortunately, this was the last hotel I stayed at before my flight home, and I chose it specifically so I could relax and rest after my travels. Sadly, the service and overall check-in experience were very disappointing.
I understand that my booking was made through a third-party platform, and I appreciate that this can sometimes create additional challenges for hotel staff. However, the way the reception staff handled the situation was extremely upsetting. I have previously worked at a five-star hotel, so I understand the pressures and challenges that can come with dealing with bookings and guests. However, regardless of the circumstances, the situation should have been handled with professionalism and good customer service.
The reception staff, particularly the duty manager, would benefit from additional customer service training. At one point, I had to ask the duty manager to stop walking away while I was still trying to explain and resolve my issue. After travelling by bus from Amsterdam, I was already extremely exhausted, and the attitude I received made the experience even more frustrating.
The room itself was okay and the location was convenient, especially if you love McDonald's, as there is one nearby.
Unfortunately, despite the room being acceptable, I have to rate my experience poorly because the check-in experience was one of the worst I have ever encountered. Good customer service is especially important when a guest is tired and simply trying to resolve an issue, and I believe this situation could have been handled much better with proper communication, patience, and professionalism.

"Atrocious hotel. Should be 0 stars"
Wow, where do I start….I had a previous bad experience at another Premier Inn before and thought it was a one off, but nope this hotel followed suite and was even WORSE!
Upon arrival the two female staff clearly didnt care about their jobs and lacked customer service skills, having worked in travel and tourism industry for 9 years this was absolutely atrocious attitude.
The tables around the lobby were covered with litter and staff standing around talking amongst themselves not bothering to have a presentable hotel lobby.
After dropping the bags in the locker, I attempted to use the male restrooms in the lobby area and the toilets themselves were absolutely disgusting with solid bodily fluid still left in all basins and on toilet seat itself. I informed the unhelpful female staff who is interacted with at check in and again surprise surprise they didn’t care and only said okay. I took a photo of state of toilets to share with Premier Inn themselves.
We returned later in the evening to collect bags and go to our room as we had arrived before check in time. The male staff this time said “give me your luggage tags” not polite or positive just again looked like he hated his job.
I went to check the toilets to see if anything had been done about it and don’t forget I had a photo of it 6 hours and 11 minutes earlier and it was exactly the same! DISGUSTING! This time I informed the male staff at the desk and he did appreciate the informing of the state of toilet.
The room was good, bed was comfortable, shower head had some rust on it and on the bathroom floor had a green stain on the floor which I’m hoping was bleach or something, if not then someone has very toxic coloured bodily fluid!
The view we had was like rubbing salt into wounds as the window looked directly at the check in desk (how exciting…NOT)
In the morning we left and walked past two housekeepers who I assume must have thought we were invisible as there was no even a simple smile!
The final evening (couldn’t wait to leave the next morning) there were children running, not just once or twice but it honestly felt like they were practicing for the London Marathon. Attempted to call reception which took 3 attempts (3rd time lucky) I was informed security would come to assist. However, after standing in the corridor to ask the children to stop I waited 20-25 minutes and there was no sign of security. Eventually I found the children’s teacher/coach they were with and asked them to stop and they did.
It was an absolutely atrocious stay and I even woke at 8am to get out the hotel as soon as possible as it is just that bad the way the staff handle things and made my partner and I feel!
I think the staff who work there couldn’t even catch a cold in the winter they are all that bad at their jobs im surprised it’s not a free for all (maybe that’s why there’s 3 security members patrolling)
There are so many hotels in this area, so please if you’re reading this, don’t waste your money and stay here! It’s horrendously bad!

"Great service"
Hospitality brilliant. Young lady Grazel helped me out numerous times.
She was an absolute star and credit to premier inn. Can’t thank her enough!
