"Needs a total renovation"
I was greeted at reception by a man who was so unhappy in his work. I tried hard to get a welcoming smile out of him but found it impossible.
The hotel was very old fashioned.
Room was small. No fridge. Water pressure in the shower was very poor. No cellular phone service as no signal on all networks. This sadly is the case in many hotels in London so it’s essential they have fast WiFi which wasn’t the case at this property as it was very slow and disconnected all the time.
The hotel wasn’t very expensive but I could not recommend it to anyone.

"Great breakfast and comfortable room"
Arrived very tired after a very long flight. Check in staff was so helpful, the room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast the next day was excellent.

"All good, except the smell"
Easy enough to find and a few mins walk from bus stop. Good location if going to or from Heathrow like we were.
The staff were friendly enough, the breakfast was good and the cook made us veggies sausages 😋
There is a lift up to the floors... but the lift buttons were annoying and took a few pushes to make it do anything, they should repair it.
Rooms were quiet and bed comfy.
But....
The smell of this hotel is awful! Ive never known a hotel to have such a bad mix of smells!
The hallway greeted you with a strong smell on... sprouts?? Someone in one of those rooms must have a brussle sprout stall , my dads room had an even stronger smell!
My room smelled like someone has been chain smoking in there, smelled like an ashtray! I asked to switch rooms as Im pregnant and the smell was just too much. They did accommodate this and the next room didnt smell like cigarettes luckily!
The windows dont open....
Id stay again for convenience if going to airport. Hopefully the smell will improve!

"Brilliant Stay"
Fantastic stay. Location excellent for exploring London and access to Wembley, hotel very nice and staff went over and above to make our stay enjoyable.

"Great hotel, but unresolved and expensive issues with parking."
I stay here numerous times a year and, overall it’s been really great. However on my last trip there was an issue with the parking. When I was checking out the lady at reception said the machine for paying was out of order and I would have to pay at the front desk. This I duly did, kept my receipt, and headed to the airport. Three weeks later I am notified by Hertz of a traffic violation. Horizon is saying I left without paying! Hertz have billed me for the parking fine and a processing fee on top. Hertz will reimburse me if Horizon cancels the violation. I have sent them all my documentation both by email and by mail and have heard nothing.
Was this a scam by the hotel? Billing me for parking and then not notifying Horizon? Has anyone else experienced this? In particular if you checked out on the morning of April 22nd when the machine was supposedly not working?
