"Is this the UK's worst hotel?"
A grotty, decrepit pit of a hotel that reeked of some kind of industrial cleaning products on the night I stayed. Bathroom and floors were dirty, the bed was incredibly uncomfortable, our window wouldn't close, appliances were broken and staff were utterly hopeless. I honestly didn't know hotels couple be this bad. Avoid at all costs.

"Staff were exceptional"
Say what you like about this hotel but the staff are absolutely exceptional and made our stay completely worthwhile. Another guest had parked very inconsiderately on the forecourt and one of the members of staff moved his own car to accommodate ours. It is not often you see this sort of kindness and I wanted to give a shout-out to the staff for not only this but being generally amiable, patient, friendly and polite. I witnessed this during interactions with other not so amiable guests.
Our room was actually one of the best premier inn bedrooms we’ve stayed in. The bathroom was a little tired and in need of an update but honestly when everything else is so good I have zero complaints.

"Awful room, lack of staff"
Bathroom in disrepair, no hot water, bath sized for a child, broken creaky bed, receptionist never there when i went down to complain. Restaurant said closed, however after hunting for a staff member who was nowhere to be found she was causally flippant and said she just 'forgot' to turn the sign around. The area was quiet and nose levels were low. Although one guest was clearly smoking something illegal right at the entrance and nothing was said!

"Concert overnight visit"
Arrived for a 1 night stop over and the outside of the building wasn’t too impressive. Had the look of a run down 1970 office block. However we were greeted at reception by a lovely lady, checked in and up to our rooms (2). The rooms were really clean and tidy and the view was fabulous. The bathroom too was lovely and clean and overall a lovely overnight stay.
