London Hammersmith (Talgarth Road) hotel

The hotel’s location is great and very convenient for public transport, but the parking situation really needs improvement—especially for those arriving by car. It’s not clear where to park on arrival. In our case, my husband had to wait at the back of the BP petrol station while we went to find reception, which wasn’t ideal at all. It’s a shame there’s no dedicated parking, as adding one would really enhance the overall experience and likely attract mor The hotel itself is quite large, with 9 floors, so it was surprising to see only one receptionist working at times. There’s a lovely lounge area, a spacious restaurant, and a busy bar, but it often felt understaffed. This became especially noticeable during peak times, like check-in or at the bar. On one occasion, we saw guests waiting around 30 minutes just to be served a pint of beer. We had drinks at the bar on two consecutive nights and ordered the same cocktail both times, but the quality was noticeably inconsistent. The first night, it felt like the staff member was rushed and possibly not the usual bartender, which may explain the difference. That said, there were definitely positives. The room was spotless—no complaints at all there. Breakfast was also excellent, easily one of the best we’ve had at any Premier Inn. Overall, we had a pleasant stay, but improving staffing levels—especially in the evenings—and addressing the parking situation would make a big difference. Perhaps offering staff accommodation could also help with retention and availability for night shifts.

Had a great time at the premier Inn talgarth. Hammersmith is a fab location for tubes to lots of tourist attractions. Lots of nice places to eat in Hammersmith too. Only 5 min walk max from tube station. Tube station also has lots of shops and eateries too. Rooms were fine. Really quiet. Beds and pillows were great. Best sleep I've had in a hotel. Breakfast was good. Can't fault it really. Staff were fantastic, very friendly and professional. Would definitely return. Highly recommend.

This was for a premium room. The location is excellent. Very close to the tube station. The room was clean, the bed comfy. A quiet night. The bedroom was a nice size. However, it was tricky contacting reception - no one answered the phone. We received internet codes to use (in 2026???) but initially none worked so had to physically go to reception (twice) to sort this out. Not good. The breakfast is fairly limited - no fresh veg and the continental stuff is just toast and jam. Premier Inn breakfasts used to be better I think. Would probably consider staying here again, despite the issues.

Great time at this hotel while exploring London. Staff great and very helpful. Food good and some good drink deals. Comfortable stay. Location great for families if wishing to stay outside main areas of London. Next to 4 tube lines so always very easy to get into any area of London city directly from Hammersmith. Nice station too. Nice area around Hammersmith to walk e.g. by the Thames. Lots of nice places to eat nearby also. Would recommend.

Stayed here as a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children) for 3 nights in February in a family room. The room was a reasonable size, but could do with a bit more storage space. The room was a good temperature and fairly quiet. We could hear the occassional person moving down the corridor, but nothing too cause issues. The breakfast area was a good size, with plentiful food and variety. It was a little hard work to get hot chocolate at breakfast time for our kids. This doesn't seem to be an issue at other Premier Inn sites, you just ask and it is brought over. We were questioned about who it was for and how old they were. They did have some gluten free toast available on request.
