London Farringdon (Smithfield) hotel

The hotel is in a great location, and they have a restaurant if you don't feel like going out for dinner one night. The beds are comfortable, the staff is very friendly, and it offers good value for money. We stayed in a triple room, and even though the space was a bit limited, we were very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location, close to Farringdon tube (Elizabeth Line). Modern, Clean, safe, comfortable. Reasonable breakfast and VFM for The Square Mile. Very quiet area at the weekend

I am only giving this rating because of two people, but first, here is the experience: my colleagues and I turned up and, as always at Premier Inn, were greeted by a computer in our face. After I checked myself in, I went to the room to do some work which I had to present to an audience of over 100 people. I could not use my mobile tethering as it was not fast enough, so I went to the duty manager and asked for complimentary Premier Wi-Fi. I was told that because I did not book a Premier room, I did not get it; fair enough, but I had some important work to do, and the response was "tough, you will have to pay for it." I went down and started chatting with Emma and Victoria, and after we told them about the service we received, they were appalled. They kindly got the Wi-Fi code for us and appreciated our feedback. If it were not for them, I would never come back here, and just to put it on record, I have stayed in so many Premier Inns as my company prefers them, and not one has ever said no to providing Premier Inn Wi-Fi.

Our room was not big but the beds are really good. Location is good, easy to travel everywhere from there. But the free WiFi is not good and in our room there was no signal on the phone so we could not make any phone calls and not use the 5G. Atmosphere was really nice and the value good. So overall a good hotel.

Great location, friendly and welcoming staff, decent value. However would not stay here again as the room was not cleaned very well prior to our arrival - dirty towel left on the back of the bathroom door, thick visible dust around the headboard of the pull out sofa bed, dust on the skirting boards etc. Also the room overlooked an internal mezzanine rather than the outside so there was very little natural light, not ideal for working or waking up in the morning. Sheets were clean and beds were comfy, bathroom was also clean (except for someone else’s used towel of course!)
