London Farringdon (Smithfield) hotel

We stayed here as a family of four for 3 nights and 4 days, and overall, we had a really lovely stay. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, kind and helpful. Everyone we interacted with was welcoming and happy to help, which made a big difference, especially when travelling with two children. We didn’t have any major problems during our stay, and the hotel’s location was absolutely great for exploring the city. The only thing that could have been better was the housekeeping. I had to ask twice, including going to reception in person, to have the bed sheets changed. It was a little disappointing, especially with children, and I think this is an area that could definitely be improved. That said, it didn’t take away from the overall experience. The hotel is well located, the staff are lovely, and the price is very reasonable for what you get. For us, the value for money definitely paid off. We left with a very positive impression and would happily stay here again on another trip. 💜

Checked in at the desk to make sure i was allocated an accesible room. Poor explanation and signage left me rolling around the hotel for 30 mins trying to find step free access to my room, getting stuck in narrow corridors with no room to turn around. 5 heavy doors between reception and my room with no power assist opening seems like a huge access oversight for the route to an accesible room. No power opening on accesible room door either, this is no simple hurdle for a wheelchair user. Room accesible once in, apart from the emergency cord being on the side of the bed you cant get a wheelchair down the side of to transfer into bed. Room cleanliness was questionable at best, thick dust on head board, bedding wrong size for bed lead to an uncomfortable, cold night's sleep. Rubbish under the bed. Sleep was uncomfertable and cold due to bed being made (poorly) with a duvet, bottom sheet and mattress protector being way too small for the bed, with a right size, half empty duvet cover. Bathroom wetroom was decent with rails and a shower chair, as well as a roll under sink. The roll under sink was leaking, which did lead to it leaking over your knees if using a wheelchair, and only one towel for a room booked for two.

BED BUGS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!!!!! My daughter is staying here for a school trip. She messaged me at 5am to show me a video of loads of bed bugs. This is completely unacceptable. None of my family will stay in a Premier Inn again. Not this one, or any other!!

The hotel is in a great location, and they have a restaurant if you don't feel like going out for dinner one night. The beds are comfortable, the staff is very friendly, and it offers good value for money. We stayed in a triple room, and even though the space was a bit limited, we were very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!
