      "Too hot to sleep!"
Staff were lovely, food and drink reasonably priced and tasty. Only problem really was the lack of sleep! When we arrived the room was unbearably hot but we were heading out for dinner so we put air con on cool and went out. When we came back to go to bed the room was still 25 degrees. The quilt was a winter quilt which we stripped off the bed but it was impossible to get a good nights sleep. I told the lady when we checked out who said the air con isn’t working in the whole hotel and it’s on their website, when I said I didn’t see it on their website when I booked she said it’s in small print! I said if I had seen it I would have chosen not to stay there in the current heat. Oh sorry, was her reply! I thought they had a guarantee for a good nights sleep!?
"Arrived early but did not get the early check-in that we paid for."
We were at check in 5 minutes before 11am. A couple were already at the check in, arguing over some payment they made regarding a previous booking? We made it clear that we had paid for early check in but was ignored. After 15 minutes another customer voiced their concern on their wait to be seen for a pre-booked check in. It was only that a manager was called that this freed up the employer to manage another console to check us in. All in all this took 20 minutes, our time that we paid for an early check-in.
"Perfect spot if you don't mind a busy street"
Great location, excellent staff. Beds very comfortable. Only downside,it's a bit shabby on the outside. Rooms probably could do with a refurbishment
"Dire - if you have a reservation - CANCEL."
Quite the worst hotel I have stayed in for years. Avoid - you can do much better in London, even at the budget end. What can I say? The approach to the hotel is grim and the first thing to greet you is the stench from the bins at basement level. Reception was underwhelming. They have those hideous check in machines that never work. The sole receptionist was busy dealing with what appeared to be a security incident. Fair play, when finished he was helpful and polite. But it is the first time that I have, unsolicited, been handed a complaints card with my key. The reason? On one of the hottest days in the year, the air conditioning in the rooms was not working. My room was virtually uninhabitable. A fan had been provided and I was able to open the windows - letting in the noise and pollution from Euston Road - but I am asthmatic and it was very GRIM. The room was a disgrace. Dusty, not clean. No amenities. Not even a bottle of water. Furniture scuffed. Walls clearly not painted for 20 years. Such was the humidity that a large sign advised you to keep the bathroom door shut to avoid setting off the fire alarms. A complete rip off at £200 for the night. Never again. Premier Inns, you should be ashamed. Handy for Euston.
"What we expect from Premier Inn"
Excellent service in the restaurant, coping with a large volume of guests. We ate in Thyme three nights and enjoyed very good food, both starters and main courses. Breakfast as usual at Premier Inn was excellent - especially the porridge, which PI must make to a fixed recipe as it is consistently just right for us across all the Premier Inns we stay in. Staff were helpful and considerate throughout.
