London Docklands (Excel) hotel

This is our go to place to stay when visiting London. The location is good, easy to get to, there’s a small bus station and a DLR station just a couple of minutes away. The hotel has an onsite bar and restaurant and there is a pub/restaurant next door. There are supermarkets just another DLT stop away so handy if you want to get any extra bits. The rooms were clean and functional. A good breakfast and friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble. I asked for extra towels and a spare duvet and everything was brought to the room quickly. The hotel was very busy when we stayed due to a concert being held nearby, this meant a lot of teenagers were staying. On the first night of our stay there was a lot of noise from the room about, however when brought to the attention of the staff this was quickly rectified for us. The breakfast was the usual premier inn breakfast which is always my favourite part of a stay. I cannot remember her name but I’d just like to say the staff member who greeted us for breakfast both mornings and served us on the bar the first day we arrived was lovely. She was friendly, chatty and funny. I wish I could remember her name as she 100% deserves the recognition, she was fabulous.

We recently stayed 2 nights in May for Comic Con at the Excel. This has become an annual tradition with our friends and we look forward to it every year. We all stay at The Premier Inn because it never lets us down! Great comfortable rooms, lovely food and drink in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The new bar and restaurant area is lovely and welcoming. The staff were great and always there to help. We happened to accidentally leave behind a much loved soft toy; a Nobara plushie. I contacted the hotel who had found her and helped me arrange her return by post. She came back with sweets in the envelope and a really lovely little note to say she had been living her best 4 star life at the hotel 🙂! We were really touched. See you next year!

Another great stay, staff are amazing so friendly and professional. Great service and attentive. Had dinner and cocktails too. Room was immaculate, bed comfortable and a great nights sleep!

Very good property close to London excel.

The room was clean the towels were lovely the shower soap and shampoo was good breakfast was excellent but we had our room at the front of the hotel and the noise was really bad from outside we could hear the planes going buy the motor bikes the cars pressing their horns the police cars with sirons screaming out also the trains going past all hours the screaming people going past early hours of the morning even though I had ear plugs in so we didn't get alot of sleep for the two nights that we stayed.. We wouldn't stay at this hotel again
