    "Excellent service"
    I recently stayed at this hotel and was thoroughly impressed by the excellent service and innovative approach to breakfast. The new grab-and-go concept is a fantastic addition, making mornings so much easier for guests with busy schedules. I especially loved the bacon and egg roll paired with a perfectly made latte—such a delicious and convenient way to start the day! The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, which made my stay even more enjoyable.

    "Damp and smelly"
    Upon arrival in the car park, things looked promising. From the outside, the hotel looks modern and reception was clean and welcoming. That is where the positives end. The room STANK of damp as soon as we opened the door. Inspecting the room, we found the bathroom door to be swollen with moisture and damp patches all over the walls - including behind the sofa. The bed was way too high and difficult to get on to (I am a 5’6 woman so not exactly short), and the mattress was hard and uncomfortable. Thought about sleeping on the sofa but that was equally unpleasant. Even the shower wasn’t working right, with the controls wired in backwards, meaning you had to turn it to cold to warm up etc. We have had to wash all our clothes and our hair as soon as we arrived home, as the smell has lingered on them. Needless to say we will not be returning.

    This premier inn is well placed for Croydon and is easy to get to from the M25, the staff and helpful but not to overbearing. Breakfast was freshly cooked and very well presented.
