"Two night stay"

Stayed for two nights (Thurs & Fri). Booked in quickly and efficiently and allocated one of the new rooms on the ground floor. The room was clean and there is a noticeable difference between the new and older rooms. Firstly there isn't any wasted space - these are double rooms with no additional space for another bed, there is is only a shower no bath - but it's a lot better than one of those over the bath (no shower curtain sticking to you). The hotel isn't close to any other shops pubs etc so the beefeater next door tends to treat you as a captive audience but not a very valued one. We did have breakfast one morning - it's unimpressive and over priced and why they serve thin white sliced bread for toast is beyond me - it's like charcoal once it's been toasted. If get back late in the evening don't expect to get a drink as the bar shuts at 10.30 even on a Friday - great if one of you has been doing the driving. Don't let this put you off Coombe Lodge - there are several Wetherspoons in Croydon accessible by tram or on foot which do better value breakfasts and serve drinks after 10.30pm. Even though the room is new there are a couple of things that appear to have been skimped on. There's a lack of places to hang your towel in the bathroom if there's two of you in the room. There are only two USB ports and they are on one side of the bed, none by the desk so please remember to take plugs. The final issue is room specific, the new rooms at the back on the ground floor have fences close to the windows as in 2 ft away and then another one 1 ft behind but starting almost at the top of the first. This leaves you with a limited natural light , it's great at night but in the morning you are left wondering what the weathers like.

"Premier Inn London Croydon South Hotel"

Nice quiet place nestled in a lovely wooded area. The staff are very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much bother. Lovely Beef Eater right next door with a good choice of food, again with lovely staff.

"Room good , avoid breakfast unless you have loads of time"

Room good. Breakfast cooked to order. Waited 45 minutes and told still had more time to wait as apparently there was a big order. No apology , understaffed and too many customers. Left in the end without breakfast.

"Tired"

Drab and in need of a refresh, small rooms, un-makeable campbeds for children. Good parking, friendly staff. This Inn looks fairly modern but hasn't been touched since it was put up - so actually it isn't a very pleasant experience.

"Value and comfort"

Premier inns are always clean and comfortable. Real fast was good value too. Although I prefer the help yourself cooked breakfast rather than cooked to order. Look out for Mable on reception. Lovely lady. Nothing too much trouble for her.
