London Croydon (Purley A23) hotel

I arrived quite late and was very very tired. As I opened the bedroom door, I thought someone was already using the room. The bed looked as though someone had been lying on the bed and there was no Premier Inn signature sash on the bed. I was so looking forward to having a shower, however when I turned on the shower, water began cascading from the top of the shower head on to the floor. I had to quickly turn off the shower and have a bath instead...so disappointing! Too tired to go back down to reception. When I went to check out in the morning, there was noone on reception, so, could not explain the issues. I waited for a while then just dropped my keys in box and lleft. I usually love Premier for for a quick overnight stay but not this time. Please Premier Inn Croydon, Please check your rooms before letting guests stay!

The deco was very poor and run-down. Nil score for atmosphere it had none. Rooms were poor and needed redecorating and were not clean.The stairways were filthy. There was no air conditioning - only a fan that pumped hot air around the room. Not good if like me, I had heart problems. Breakfast was good, and the cook was excellent. Their attention to allergies seemed good, but I had a gluten reaction, probably from cross-contamination with toasted bread. The next breakfast I excluded bread and was fine.

This is our second stay , our room was very clean , the service we received from Ram and Shalini was fantastic during our 3 night stay . There was nothing they wouldn’t do for us . Ram brought up Ice to our room for my mum who needed some for her foot as she has a broken toe . We needed to store our luggage when we arrived and also when we were leaving for a while and they both obliged with absolute no hesitation. The breakfast was delicious. My mom and I look forward to returning again . The only complaint that we have is that even though we had the fan going in the room it was very hot as there is no Air con .

Booked this hotel as usually guaranteed a good standard and they also offer a good night sleep guarantee...... Big mistake! Check in was okay if a little slow but when I reached my room I discovered this hotel may have been built on an active volcano. There was a fan doing its best to try and help and the windows cracked open ( restricted to very slight opening for safety reasons). The temperature in the room was 31 degrees.......with no way of cooling it down. I tried reception- they said sorry but entire hotel was the same and I could have another fan - which wasn't going to change the temperature or I could phone the central team . I called the central team and quoted their good night sleep guarantee and was then told that as I'd checked in in would need to find myself another hotel - pay for it and try to claim it back.... Not the best option and not something I could do. I stayed and had the worst night sleep since becoming a father many years ago. Temperature in the room in the morning had dropped to 30 degrees. I had to have a cold shower to cool down my body which felt like it was overheating , dressed and departed as soon as possible. This was not good service , not good for my wellbeing and I think they should seriously labelling this hotel as not suitable for people with young babies, respiratory conditions , elderly and other vulnerable groups as this could be a serious threat to health......premier inn- this is NOT GOOD ENOUGH

Putting the health of guests at risk by placing a family of 4 on the top floor with hardly any ventilation and nighttime room temperature registered on the thermostat of 33.5 degrees Celsius. No offer to relocate to a different site with AC. The experience was horrifying, suffocating. The entire top floor was like a furnace, including the corridor as it has no window. For the staff to knowingly place a family of 4 with kids on the top floor which is the hottest part of hotel was cruel to say the least. We have been to this site several times and can't believe what we got put through this past weekend.
