London County Hall hotel

Hotel was very welcoming and very clean , staff were amazing, me and my sons will definitely be back to stay , thank you to all the staff for making our stay amazing 🤩

Great location but be sure to ask for an updated room. The self service check in is somewhat a challenge. Our confirmation number did not work and it was difficult at best to find an employee to help. We did finally manage to get some help and so it all worked out. All of the staff we encountered were absolutely lovely and always had a smile.

This hotel must trade on one time visitors due to its location. The building is not properly noise insulated so the barely-there double glazing did not stop the constant Sunday night noise of boy racers and motor bikes. The room was tired and the chairs frayed around the edges. Asking for a second bath towel was a waste of time, as it never arrived. The room was cold, and turning the heating up didn't do much. This hotel could take some tips from their sister hotel at Euston, which is brilliant.

This was disappointing. We have been here many times precovid, and it has now changed, not for the better. Firstly, our room was cold on entering it. We were unable to turn the heat on. There are now no phones in the rooms, so we had to go downstairs to ask for the heating to be turned on. They told us they had to activate something but they didn’t do it, so we had to traipse down and ask again. Secondly, they have removed the baths and installed showers , which should be fine except there are no grab handles, and nothing to hold onto, and the showers are slippery . I slipped leaving the shower. There is no room cleaning unless you ask for it before 12 pm on the day required. We asked for clean towels as they were soaking from the shower flooding the floor, but they never came. There is only ever one person on reception and since most people want to fetch or leave their luggage one needs to queue for a long time, We ordered fish and chips for lunch one day and I ordered white bread and butter with it. The menu stated that it was white, but they brought brown seeded bread. I said it should be white and the barman /waiter lied and said there wasn’t any left! I told him I can’t eat seeds , they make me very ill, so he took it away and finally did come back with white bread ! All in all, the stay was a disappointment and we are unlikely to stay in a premier inn again.
