London County Hall hotel

This was a last minute trip to the capital and I noticed they had accessible rooms as I’m a wheelchair user. Easy to book, excellent professional response to my email and telephone call. On arrival my heart sank as I noticed a large set of steps, however there was an assistance bell and I member of staff showed us the works entrance that we would need to use during our stay. Very dismal, dirty entrance (as you can imagine from a goods entrance). Unperturbed by this we arrived at reception and were swiftly checked in. Fantastic room allocated with lots of room to manoeuvre my chair. Clean, with very comfy beds. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of hot and continental. Staff professional & polite Hotel & rooms very accessible until…. Arrived back at hotel at 18.45 to be faced by a padlocked entrance with nobody around to speak to. Waited outside for 15 minutes as a member of staff unavailable to unlock the gates. Someone eventually unlocked the gates as people with bikes were also trapped on the inside and no explanation given by staff member. Asked inside the hotel to speak with someone regarding this however, I’m still waiting now. We are usually big fans of Premier Inn, but sadly you let us down and have lost confidence in the brand now (especially regarding accessibility). It’s hard enough trying to navigate life in a wheelchair without obstacles being put in your way

During my first 3,nights i couldn’t get any sleep due to excessive noise, a noise like a generator, the staff were hard to get in touch with, I managed to speak to a manager on the 3rd day and he investigated but as the noise was at night he couldn’t hear it when I complained in the afternoon, the manager proceeded to laugh at me, two people I assume were maintenance people tried to turn off the bathroom extractor fan but this was the cause of the noise. The forth day I complained again and was moved rooms and magically the noise disappeared, so I wasn’t imagining it like the manager implied. I want my money back and had tried to get the staff to honour their good nights sleep guarantee but I was ignored. I filled in a feedback form online which was the only other way to try start this process. And am still waiting to hear back, this experience ruined my week away, oh and the ultimate WiFi was rubbish, 8 mbps isn’t ultimate, it’s basic, and my iPhone couldn’t even keep a connection to it. I want a full refund.

We had another great stay at the County Hall. It’s perfectly situated for the South Bank and getting into central London on foot as well as bus and tube connections. The option for a meal deal is another benefit, enabling you to have a good quality evening meal with a drink and then a full breakfast the next day. The choice of food for both dinner and breakfast is ideal.

What a brilliant time we had staying at this premier inn . We've been wanting to stay at this one for a while now and it didn't disappoint. Our room was clean and big and we was lucky we got a view from our window off the London eye outside,which was a bonus for my son. The breakfast was good and the location was excellent to quickly get around in central London . overall I would definitely stop in this premier inn again .👍

Website photos look amazing. In reality not at all. Bathroom dirty. No soap. Had to ask for towels. Wifi dropping out. Old iron frame windows that didnt close. View of brick wall. Very noisy as warehouse opposite room ( room 240). Very expensive for very little.! Wont book again and awaiting full refund.
