"Great place to stay but no walk in showers!!!"
Why are there no walk in showers!! Those showers over bath are terrible and to be honest dangerous. I was told there are only 2 showers on the 5th floor. Is this correct? The reason for staying here was my daughter has moved to the area. Previously she lived in West London and I always stayed at the Hammersmith Premier Inn (excellent in all ways). The room and staff were great, the Bar + Block restaurant terrible which I have written a review about. Such a shame after staying in Premier Inns for the past 6 years I now have to look for another hotel locally. If you do not mind showers over baths this is a great hotel with some fabulous restaurants (not the Bar + Block) and the Aldgate East underground extremely close by. The Italian over the road is sublime.

Great hotel on a reasonable price. The room was really nice and clean. Great location in a quiet neighborhood with lots of restaurants and stores around. The tube is a 5 minute walk. All the staff was wonderful and especially Aysha at the front desk was amazing!

Booked in online as we were going to arrive late around 11pm.
QR code didn’t work and it looked like they’d given our room away. The night porter sorted us a smaller room than we’d booked, said the hotel was full and we were only staying one night so didn’t matter.
The ‘air con’ is a centrally controlled ventilation system which cycles on and off at random and is really noisy. So it woke us up through the night and we are shattered this morning. Only one towel in the room but realised this too late.
One tea bag each stocked but you can go to reception to pick up more from a stand. So if you like tea pick some up before you go to your room.
In east London, an area which is changing but run down and dirty close to the hotel. Might not be for you if you’re solo and arriving late.
While the night porter was sorting a room a couple were repeatedly pressing the night bell to get in, wanted a room for a night, night porter said no but then his colleague came out of a back room and sorted it. So if you score on a night out it seems to be a good place for a short notice booking…lol.

Good location, been going for years. Starting to look a little tired now but hopefully with restaurant change they will spend a little on cleaning up worn items
