London Canary Wharf (Westferry) hotel

My friend and I stayed here for 1 night on a Friday having prebooked via their website. The place is easy to find and right next to Westferry DLR station. We drove and there is a SABA (paid) car park about 7 mins walk away. We had pre-paid for early check-in (£15) and I am glad we did because we saw people at reception requesting early check-in but they were unable to accomodate them until the 3pm check-in time unless it had been pre-booked. Remember, it's subject to availability if you leave it till you arrive. The receptionist who checked me in was friendly and professional. She also provided me with an iron and ironing board upon request to take up to my room. Our room was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The AC worked very well (needed as you can't open any windows). Overall, this is a great hotel for those visiting the Canary Wharf area with excellent transport links to get around London.

Friendly and clean hotel in a decent location if you don’t mind a bit of travel. Good view. Friendly bar, often with people using it.

We stayed for 6 nights, a couple and a family with children. The staff was attentive and helpful. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were very good even for us Italians :-) Excellent to exit the DLR stop and find yourself already at your destination, but inside the rooms are well soundproofed and you can hear almost nothing of the outside noises.

After striking out on Airbnb, I decided to sleuth what British travelers do when they travel around Britain. On Reddit and other blogs, the answer that came up more often than any other was "Premier Inn". I'd never heard of this (there are no Premier Inns in North America). Swayed by this online advice from Britons, I gave Premier Inn a shot. This advice, it turns out, was great! I loved this Premier Inn in Westferry and have already stayed at another one elsewhere since this. The Canary Wharf/Westferry Premier Inn had friendly staff who made our brood of clueless foreigners (including rambunctious small kids) feel welcomed. The family room was clean and had comfortable beds. It had a proper bathtub that I happily took a bath in. When one of my kids spilled a bunch of juice, the front desk quickly brought us another blanket and sheet. Thanks for that! The "Full English Breakfast" style buffet breakfast which was reasonable priced was delicious! Great sausages. Great cappuccino machine. Another huge advantage with this location: we were literally 1 minute from the Westferry tube stop. I can't recommend this Premier Inn enough.

Nice and modern hotell, nice staff, good breakfast and comfy rooms. Close to station. Over all good service. We’d stay here again : )
