"Great place to stay"
What a great location for the Tower of London. So easily accessible from the underground. Surrounded by some lovely pubs & eateries. Very comfortable room & the shower was fantastic. Helpful staff & we shall return.
"Good location and value"
Comfortable beds and good location. Close to Tube stations. Good breakfast and evening meal. Staff were nice and friendly
"Not what I would expect from a Premier Inn"
We have stayed at quite a few Premier Inns over the years and this is certainly not what we have come to expect from them. The staff are very disinterested, we couldn’t get early check-in so we left our bags and went out for the day, it was after 10pm when we got back and just wanted to get to our rooms (we had 2 rooms for a family of 5), the key to one of the rooms would not work and it took 3 trips down to a very unhelpful & disinterested member of staff to sort this out. The rooms are more basic than other Premier Inns and the pillows were uncomfortable. Breakfast was busy, on the Sunday there weren’t enough tables, mugs for drinks, the food wasn’t up to the usual standard (hard eggs and a faulty toaster) and the staff were not accommodating. The worst thing that happened was on the Saturday evening of our stay. We came back from the theatre to find that one of the rooms had been left open (the lock had been turned so the door wouldn’t shut) and the light was on (the lights in this room worked even when there wasn’t a card inserted in the slot). We weren’t expecting the room to be cleaned as we were only there for 3 nights and in fact our other room hadn’t been cleaned, it is just luck that nothing was stollen. I didn’t raise the issue with the disinterested staff as they wouldn’t have cared and they weren’t readily available to speak to in the evening. They don’t even bother coming to the front door if you ring the buzzer. The only good thing about this hotel is the proximity to Monument tube station, I would not stay at this Premier Inn again.
"Absolute credit to brand image"
We stayed over Friday night, to catch the concert. Check in was not the best, although the young man( didn’t get a name!) was directing people to machines, they weren’t always cooperating. He did direct me to the desk however once he realised. Downstairs was a lovely surprise, the bar woman; Simar I believe was an absolute delight, helping us pose for pictures, making sure we got our boots in! She even did the drinks for us and helped us non Londoners figure out which was the best way to get to ABBA! Cannot emphasise enough how lucky management are to have such a credit on the floor. The rooms were spacious, not enough towels but reception did give them when asked. The beds were comfortable and soft as always, with extra pillows in the bag. Lighting was amazing in the bathroom. Breakfast in the morning was rather busy. But staff were adept at managing flow with a coffee station available before being seated! Will deffo be returning soon:)
"Great quiet and restful stay before a busy day."
Comfy bed, quiet, meaning we were well rested for the busy day ahead - Just what we needed. The restaurant meals and cocktails were great. Simra was great - Pleasant, efficient, and impressive given all the tasks she was clearly expected to manage on her own.
