"Premier Inn Archway"
Third time staying here and very convenient for me and an excellent team who will go out their way to help/advise - they really deserve high prise and I hope are well paid and earn bonuses. The rooms are comfortable and clean with the a/c being a useful addition with the heatwaves recently in the UK! My two bits of advice is the inernet speeds for both free and the 'plus' version. are almost not fit for purpose in this digital age - I live in a poor country in SE Asia and the average 1-2 star place which will be a lot more basic will have better WiFi...surely this is a worthwhile investment? The 2 elevator usually have at least one not working and that over 3 visits over the last year and whilst i am mobile and am usually using the stairs I have seen a lot of families with kids, elderly and wheelchair folks spending a lot of time being frustrated..again this is a relatively obvious investment for a positive outcome all round. I will stay again but hope my comments will lead to action from the Whitbread owners....I worry they are looking to squeeze cost for profit and not value and customer experience .....
"Could have been better..."
Not the best stay I have had, the bedroom was clean and comfy but this Premier Inn had renovations going on outside and I was not informed of this when booking and meant I could not open curtains on the bright July days without looking at a workman outside my window. The first room I was given had some mould above the shower and a battered bath side panel. I asked for a change of rooms and I was moved with a minimum of fuss and got apologies from the staff member, the new room was better but when the shower was turned on, the pipes made a grinding noise, I didn't want to move again so put up with it each morning. Breakfast was good and filling but the bar which was meant to be open in the evening seemed to be rarely staffed. I went to order food on my last evening but was told the restaurant was closed due to kitchen issues so I had to go elsewhere. After eating out I came back to have a final pint in the bar area but again no staff so gave up and went out again for my pint. I wouldn't stay at this inn next time I am in London even though the area around was great.
"Worst hotel ever"
On the site it didnt mention building work which started at 8 every morning, the hotel is covered in scafolding. The manager when I complained said it mentioned the building work on the booking page when I showed him it didnt he apologised but it was then to late. Thwy did change the description on the site several hours later to cover themselves though, wouldnt have booked if I had known about the building work, even phoned them straight away but their complaints team were totally unhelpful, this place is an absolute doss house
"Great friendly efficient hotel and fantastic location"
Great hotel and friendly efficient staff, good location for getting in and out of London as the tube station is directly behind the hotel, McDonald's and supermarkets nearby. only negative is some work on the hotel is ongoing and no good if you want to sleep during the day
"Secure parking for motorbike"
I needed somewhere secure to park my motorbike for 2 nights so I used their underground parking facilities. Very secure, underground spaces, through secure gated system, below the hotel. A little tricky getting out because the gates wouldn’t open initially, perhaps because it’s not a car! But I slept better in those nights knowing that my precious motorbike was safe and dry. Ludo was extremely helpful in sorting it all out. Thank you.
